Globalization enables countries to exchange technology, culture, and trade. Making life more interconnected and often more convenient. However, it can also lead to job loss in poorer countries, cultural loss, or exploitation when powerful nations dominate weaker ones. It's a tool, and like any tool, its effects depend on who controls it and how it's used.

Tripp Araneta -

Globalization is a good thing. The increasing globalization of corporations and media/technology links countries in a plethora of ways. The production and shipment of simple commodities and many consumer goods have become increasingly efficient over time with the help of modern technology. Media and culture have been easier to access than ever with the birth of the internet and cable, and more people now have access to transportation. Job opportunities open up in many third-world countries. However, globalization comes at a cost: pollution, Westernization of cultures, poor working conditions, and so on.

It really depends on the what is being globalized. If it means improving your lifestyle then its ok! But if it means destroying your belief, your customs, your traditions, then that is not good. The things we buy from the things we own are all part of globalization. From laptops, to cellphones, to even your private browsing account. All of them exists today because of this so called "Globalization". We all are enjoying the world now because of it. We all get what we want and what we desire in the world because of it.
The things we were wishing to exist before now exist because of it. Its almost as if globalization is our global maid. We get what we want just by pushing a few buttons. But, some of us humans are just too blind and drowned by globalization that we overlooked the bad effects. From people having no choice but to work in a factory all day just to provide for their self and sometimes never make minimum wage, to a nearly destroyed atmosphere because of all the harmful chemicals released from the factory, Globalization is slowly but surely destroying the world in its own little ways. Even globalization is destroying other people's culture. From native dances, to break dancing to phonk music and listening to brainrot , people are slowly being influenced by whoever has the strongest voice. We all as one should be more aware of what we are being dragged into. We must uphold our worth, belief and dignity. We must not let anything trample on what we believe no matter what they say about it. Everyone, please be safe!😃

It's difficult to say if globalization is bad or good as it has both helped our world and caused problems with nations. Many aspects of our lives and the lives of those around us have experienced significant change as a result of globalization. Thanks to technological advancements, lower tariffs, and large companies, it has revolutionized trade, culture, and economies all over the world. It has downsides despite its advantages, which include raising global economic production and rescuing millions of people from poverty. It presented difficulties like turmoil in society and degradation of the environment. Recognizing the past benefits in placing these developments and their consequences for the future in a viewpoint. Overall, I cannot determine if globalization is good or bad as it really depends on the perspective and view of a person.

Sean Castaneda

In my opinion, globalization is relative and can have both positive and negative impacts on our economy. World organizations like the United Nations and international development programs are what support the growth of some developing nations. Also, our world economy relies on globalization to share media, ideas, culture, and products. In the same way, the nature of humans to make choices and create inaccurate decisions can make a bad impression on globalization, meaning wars, disputes, and mostly international disagreements.

Globalization is not inherently good or bad—it depends on how it’s managed. The challenge is to maximize the benefits (like economic growth and cultural exchange) while minimizing the downsides (like inequality and exploitation). Smart policies, fair trade, and good business practices are key to making globalization work for everyone. If every country can work together and not only think of themselves, then only can we be united as a whole. (like my answer for 5 pesos 🤟🏻)

Isabelle

I think globalization is good because we can obtain a number of different types of goods from other countries, and cultural exchange, as well as economic trade and growth. It’s impressive and just kind of amazing to see how globally connected all of the countries are, and how something as everyday clothing becomes a window into global trade networks, labor practices, and cultural exchange. However, at the same time, globalization can be bad because it can cause exploitation and imbalanced power dynamics. Overall, when it comes to whether or not globalization is good or bad can not be determined by one factor alone. We need to look into certain events that happened and incidents. Though if governments implement policies that can help, it would be much better for the global economy and the countries as their own. Kinds of policies that can help promote fair trade, protect workers and the environment, and ones that can help spread the benefits more evenly. When unchecked, globalization can deepen inequality and harm vulnerable populations.

But at the same time globalisation destroys local businesses as local businesses cannot beat the cheaper prices that foreign brands bring, or the 'superiority' that people get using or buying imported goods. So globalization has its drawbacks and benefits, it all depends on how the person sees it.
