I believe that students most often violate the first guideline, "Thou shalt not use a computer to harm other people." Social media plays a big factor in students' everyday life as it is a way for them to interact with others, view current events, keep up with celebrity news, and more. Students are able to look into the lives of others, and it is very easy to cyber bully behind a screen. Because of this, students are capable are harming other people and creating a negative environment online.

As for violating the first commandment, people tend to harm others online by commenting their opinions. People like to take part in current events and voice their thoughts, and this can easily lead to others feeling offended or getting hurt by such words. Although it can be unintentional and not meant to hurt somebody's feelings, someone's opinion could be the cause of somebody else's feeling upset. As for the rest of the commandments, violations of these can occur because people choose to not do the right thing, especially in times when people are unwilling to work. To get work done the quickest way, people violate these laws and do things such as using artificial intelligence, stealing others' work, looking into others' files, etc. Students typically do such acts in moments of desperation or laziness, both of which result in them taking the work of others.

Unethical behavior can be eliminated by setting stricter guidelines on social media platforms or conducting classes or meetings on the importance of complying to ethical computing behavior. Although, in our world today, this is a difficult task and it is not easy to eliminate the improper use of technology.
