2) Why doesn’t Greg have the proper fight or flight response? He seems too curious for his own good, in the sense that even when Lemon Brown made himself known, threatening him and acting scary, Greg just stood there. I understand that part of the fight or flight reaction can also be ‘freeze,’ but his instincts should’ve kicked in and made him leave. Was there not anything traumatic enough to give him the average fight or flight reflex? I mean, the reflex comes at a young age when we start learning what is safe and what isn’t, whether we learn first or secondhand.

Memories are very important to the story. In the real world, people tend to hold close memories forever. A problem that a lot of elderly people face is memory loss. This comes in many shapes and forms. However, these people tend to remember memories that are important to them. Significant memories stay while less important memories leave them. This connects to the text because Lemon Brown remembers his son. He remembers giving him newspaper clippings of playing the blues before he left to fight in the war. The reason the treasure is so important is because of the memories it holds.

In the book The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo, the main character Edward is faced with many challenges. Edward is a china bunny beloved by his owner. He gets lost at sea. Many different people end up owning him. At the end of the story, Edward is in a toy china shop. His original owner walks through the store door and Edward instantly remembers her. This shows that important memories are important. It shows that important memories are never lost. Both stories themes have many things to do with memories.

In the movie Finding Dory, Dory goes looking for her parents. She has a memory regarding them, which then stets of a chain reaction. She ends up finding her parents after a long journey and her parents have spent a long time looking for her. This shows that memories are important. This connects to Lemon Brown because he is a parent who thinks about his kid. His memories are the things that help him keep going through life.

He was a successful blues musician and when he came to find that his son was murdered he was crushed. He ended his career. He lived in an abandoned house with rags for clothes and eats garbage. Everybody responds contrastingly to death and utilizes individual methods for dealing with stress for pain. Exploration shows that the vast majority can recuperate from misfortune all alone with time if they have social help and solid propensities. It might require months or a year to deal with misfortune. There is no "ordinary" period for somebody to recover. For Lemon, it has been longer. In the story meeting, a young boy in the story may even bring him a sense of completion or peace. Lemon has been trying to recover for some time now and the best thing he can do is remember him.

Eventually, they are fought off, and the treasure is revealed to be not money, or any kind of currency at all, but the treasure of memories.

I picked this because his treasure wasn't money or other expensive things it was things that were important to Lemon Brown. These were important to him because his son had held on to these things in the war and when he died lemon brown felt like he had a piece of his son right there with him all the time. And it helped him know that his son loved him because he held on to those things during the war. And these treasures were a fiddle and newspaper clippings and these were the  only things that the son remembered his father bye.

The harmonica and newspaper clippings were sent to Jesse before he went off to war and then were sent back to Lemon Brown when he died. Jesse treated the items like they were treasure.

Or maybe a guitar, because one  of your closest had played that guitar and now their memory is instilled in it, memory is one of the greatest things a person can have or make, because we have memory, it can give us determination to fight on for that loved one, or a chance to remember the bad and the good in the world, or give us a chance to right our wrongs. but, in the story of Lemon Brown, the object that the memory is instilled in, is a harmonica. Because  it has all of the songs that Lemon Brown has played, the emotion...the memory. So, before Jesse went off to war, Lemon Brown gave him something to remember him by, his harmonica. Jesse held it as a treasure, his dad's treasure, though Jesse died, he died with the memory of Lemon Brown with him. so not only can memories give us determination and bravery and much more, it gives us something to fight for and to live for. memory is a crucial part to life, and happiness.
