Then there was a recess. The recess was, I think, roughly about half an hour. So most of us would just rush to the canteen, I recall that, to pick up and buy our drinks. I usually brought along sandwiches prepared at home. After the recess, back to the classroom again to continue our lessons. Sometimes there were musical sessions which was not everyday, and on some days of the week there were this hand craft and needlework sessions and then drawing sessions. After that we broke up at about 12 o' clock, I think."
"Any extracurricular activities after school?"
"Nothing. There was not a single ECA in the afternoon at all that i could remember or recall. Most of my afternoons were spent at home. And as I said I had a lot of play time at home because I don't remember much homework except just reading a few chapters of some English books. Not even Arithmetic because we finished all our work in school. So there wasn't much of a problem really, as far as our school work was concerned."
