I had the pleasure of attending the University of North Texas College of Music faculty recital "Ceciliane" and it absolutely took my breath away. Hearing Molly Fillmore's voice contrasting so well with Daphne Gerling's viola playing it melted my heart. I absolutely love listening to string instruments especially when they are played with such power and emotion. In addition to listening to the viola plus the piano and that astonishing voice just brought all of the pieces together in perfect harmony. I hope to soon attend another recital just like that. The piece "The Lamb" is mainly centered on human spirituality with a focus on nature, and brings attention to innocence. While the piece "The Tyger" is the complete opposite. In my padlet I laid out my favorite pieces from the teacher recital. Also I pulled my quotes from my favorite songs that were performed and I wrote a little one to two sentence explanation.
