Designing WebQuests requires us to clearly understand what we're planning for the users to learn. For example, we had a discussion to decide on the topic that we want students to know which is "global food crisis". Next is to design the learning tasks for students to complete. We provided a step by step guide for students to know what they are supposed to do. WebQuests are great because they provide clear instructions to follow. Thus, students could easily complete the tasks without confusion. However, WebQuests do not provide two-way communication. Educators could not receive instant feedback from students as if in a physical class. Students also do not have open communication to share their thoughts and opinions with educators. WebQuests can effectively improve students' English skills, especially in reading when they perform their tasks accordingly. However, the drawback is students could hardly ask questions to the educators and receive evaluation of their tasks.

For me, designing the WebQuest was new . At first, it was a bit hard because I don't have any idea or i can't imagine how webquest should be. So i need to think carefully about creating the webquest and how to organize it. I tried to speak clearly so students could understand. I also added pictures, tables and explanations to make it easier to follow. I felt happy and relieved after finishing the WebQuest and video. I learned how to make learning more interesting and organized carefully. It's a good experience I have. Yes, I believe that my WebQuest can help improve students’ English skills because it includes tasks that use all four language skills : reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Students read information from websites, write the answers or essays, and work together in groups to discuss or present their ideas. To make it better, maybe I should add more speaking activities to help them practice the vocabulary or conversation.

Honestly, when I first saw the task given by the Dr., I was curious and had no idea what a WebQuest was, as it was new to me. However, after reading the article and the example provided, I began to understand what we were expected to do. Then, my group member and I started discussing possible video topics and I feel happy we finally decided on the culinary exploration of spaghetti around the world. We chose this topic because we noticed that spaghetti is adapted in many ways across various cultures. It is a great topic for students to learn about different cultures and the fascinating history of spaghetti. During our discussion, I realised that defining the learning outcomes is the key to designing a WebQuest. For example, if we want to enhance students’ writing skills, we need to include a task that involves writing articles. If the goal is to improve speaking and listening skills, then we must design tasks that involve communication and interaction among peers. These tasks must be closely tied to the topic and follow a logical and fluent sequence. All in all, I believe WebQuest is an efficient tool to increase the language skills of students as it allows them to learn in a role-playing, natural and enjoyable way, sometimes without even being aware that they are learning.

Designing the WebQuests and creating the video was somewhat interesting and challenging. We had to think of creative and engaging ways to make sure our WebQuest attracts attention of learners while giving them something to learn. We had to be creative in planning the tasks to relate with the topic and research real-world content while aligning it with language skills. The video presentation part was also challenging as we need to explain our WebQuest and ensure people understand it. However, my teammates were very cooperative which made the process easier and fun as we shared opinions throughout designing the WebQuest. I believe our group's WebQuest can significantly help improve students' English skills as it challenges students' reading skills and critical thinking. By asking students to create responses, it encourages to utilize the knowledge learned and encourage them to use English meaningfully.

Firstly, creating the WebQuests and the video was both engaging and challenging. We had to come up with creative ways to capture learners' attention while providing educational content. Designing the tasks required us to connect them with the topic and real-world scenarios, integrating language skills effectively. The video presentation was another challenge, as we needed to clearly explain our WebQuest and ensure it was understood. This involved demonstrating its structure and objectives, and showing how it can enhance learning. We focused on presenting our ideas clearly and engagingly.Thankfully, my teammates were very supportive, making the process smoother and enjoyable. We shared ideas and refined our plans together, ensuring everything aligned with our educational goals.I believe our WebQuest can greatly improve students' English skills by challenging their reading abilities and encouraging critical thinking. By asking students to create responses, it prompts them to apply their knowledge and use English meaningfully, enhancing both their language skills and their engagement with the content.

The most interesting part was preparing the task section and imagining how students would work in groups and use technology tools like Canva and YouTube. I believe this WebQuest can help students improve their English skills because it involves reading authentic online materials, writing their own guide, speaking during the group presentation, and listening to each other’s feedback. Through this project, I learned how technology can make language learning more interesting. I think this activity can be improved by giving students more freedom to use different digital tools.

This WebQuest project gave me a whole new perspective on what it means to design a learning experience. We chose the topic of the “hunger issue” because it is not only a real-world problem but also carries deep educational value. In the face of the fact that millions of people still suffer from hunger globally, we wanted students to use English not just as a language tool, but as a means to understand the world and explore possible solutions.

The biggest challenge in the design process was transforming such a broad and abstract issue into clear, manageable learning tasks. We had to carefully consider both the language level of our learners and the logical flow of the lesson. In the end, we created a task-based learning sequence—starting from background reading, moving to analysis, and ending with reflection. Each step had a clear objective and guided students gradually into deeper thinking about the social and humanitarian aspects of hunger.

One of the strengths of WebQuests is their structured and easy-to-follow format. Students always know what they are expected to do, and this helps them work independently. However, we also noticed a downside: WebQuests lack real-time interaction. If students get confused while completing a task, they can’t immediately ask the teacher for help like they would in a physical classroom. To address this, we included group discussions and encouraged students to share their ideas on Padlet or other collaborative platforms.

In my opinion, both designing the WebQuest and creating the video explaining it are such a challenging and fun thing to do. As someone who never heard of WebQuest before, I really like the concept of it as it gives a clear explanation to the learners about a certain task. While designing the WebQuest, we had a discussion among our group members and finally decide the topic that we all agree on that is "The Taste of the World". It's fun exploring new things that require me to be creative and innovative. By discovering WebQuest, I realize how important it is to provide a clear instruction to the learners when assigning them a task. This is to avoid any misunderstanding and to make the learners understand the tasks in a simplest and easiest way possible. Besides, I also noticed that it is also important to also include an example on how to do the task to the learners so that they are always on the right track. I am pretty sure that the learning will become more easier with the application of WebQuest.

I believe the WebQuest my group made can help learners in learning and improving the skills of English. Our group mostly focuses on the writing skill, so I am sure the learners will be able to shape their writing skill along with other skills which are reading, listening, and speaking. Our WebQuest may be challenging at first, but as the learners go through its well-described instructions on every process, I trust the learners will be able to do a great work in completing the tasks in our WebQuest. Despite that, I know that the most valid evaluation about our WebQuest is from the learners themselves. So, by having a self-evaluation segment in our WebQuest, we can tract the leaners understanding and achievement from the WebQuest.

To be honest, at first I didn't know what a WebQuest was. Even the sound of the word sounded strange. I thought it might be the name of a certain application or website. So, I started looking for information on the internet, watching some short videos and reading simple articles. Only then did I understand that WebQuest is actually an online learning activity where students use websites and digital tools to do tasks such as reading, writing, and group work.

When we first wanted to design this WebQuest, I thought it would be easy. But it turned out that we had to plan it well. We had to think about what tools to use, what tasks the students would do, and the appropriate steps. It was quite challenging but also interesting.

The hardest part was when we had to make a video without meeting face-to-face. All our discussions were done online, for example via WhatsApp or messages. We recorded each part separately and then combined it into one video. It took time and required cooperation, but I feel proud because we finally managed to complete it.

For me, this WebQuest is very good for helping students improve their English skills. Because they don't just do regular exercises, but they actually use the language to understand information, write opinions, and maybe even speak if they have to present. So students can practice reading, writing and speaking skills in a more fun and meaningful way.

It’s an inquiry-based activity that guides learners to process and transform information toward a specific task. We think this can help students not only improve their writing skills but also practise identifying main points and organizing ideas clearly.

As the article highlights, WebQuests are useful because they involve real-life situations and can boost motivation.

Initially, I felt a bit confused when I first read the task given and when reading the website explaining what a WebQuest was, as I had no prior knowledge of it. However, after going through an example, I started to feel more familiar with the concept. That’s why, when it came to designing a WebQuest, I found it genuinely exciting especially from the view of a student, because its the kind of task I would have enjoyed doing myself.

When creating the video, the process felt easier because everything was clearly laid out on the slides. Still, to me it was a bit challenging to keep the video simple but also engaging. Even so, I think we all did our best and managed well.

As I kept working on the project, I realized how useful our WebQuest can be for students. It doesn’t just help them to complete a task easily, it builds important skills they’ll need in life, especially in university or workplace. For example, it helps with reading comprehension, which is important for understanding information. And even though they are just writing a summary, they have to think about what information is most important and how to keep it short and clear so that they do not succeed the 300 words limit. This helps improve their writing and teaches them how to be more concise. Also, plus point is that students also can gain empathy and awareness about the issue of global hunger.

However, after doing some research and reading the article provided by our lecturer, I realized that building our own WebQuest isn’t as hard as it initially seemed. WebQuests incorporate various learning skills that help students to learn more effectively through engaging activities beyond the traditional classroom setting. Students not only get to improve their language proficiency, but also able to learn how to use the internet and technology in their learning such as canva, microsoft, kahoot and youtube to help them in makin their learning enjoyable.

Firstly, creating the WebQuest requires us to understand the topic clearly and be creative in developing the questions and tasks for students. Then, we had to do discussions among us to delegate our tasks and to execute the ideas on what to do presented on our WebQuest, as for our group, we chose a topic about Korean food culture as the learning tasks for students to complete. Also, we provide guidelines and steps on what the students should do and how they should complete the task given. The good thing about having a WebQuest is that it helps to provide a platform for students to learn task by task. To conclude, WebQuest helps us to improve our critical thinking skills and improve our English and encourage students to be more profficient in English.

But even so, me and my groupmates still had conflicting ideas bout what it really is about. Only after we see the video from last year students who took the course, we finally understood about what we have to do for this specific task.

Drafting and deciding the Webquest isn't the hardest part as actually executing the plan could be the most crucial aspect as we need to really consider about whether or not our Webquest really helps the learners to boost their language proficiency, some technicalities like which platform should we use in doing this Webquest and are we able to record it clearly, and lastly making a thorough evaluation.

Not only that, other challenges that occur such as participation in the group discussion is indeed crucial as lack of this aspect might result to impeding the Webquest drafting and creating process. Thankfully, we managed to overcome this as well.

All in all, I have gained many benefits learning this WebQuest task, and I do believe that it can really helps students to especially in language learning to boost their proficiency with this amazing and interactive WebQuest activities. ❤

Designing the WebQuests and creating the accompanying video was an engaging and educational experience that offered both creative freedom and pedagogical reflection. It required me to think critically about how to integrate digital tools into meaningful English language instruction. Throughout the process, I gained deeper insights into learner engagement, digital literacy, and how structured inquiry-based activities can enhance specific language skills. The challenge was to create a sequence of tasks that would progressively develop reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills while also promoting critical thinking and collaboration. Webquest also focuses on improving several specific English skills such as reading because through curated web articles and comprehension questions, students are exposed to authentic texts that require inferencing, summarizing, and vocabulary development. For writing skills it structured tasks such as journal entries, opinion pieces, or project reports encourage students to organize their thoughts, apply grammar rules, and use persuasive or descriptive language.Last but not least for Speaking and Listening skills that group collaboration and presentations foster oral communication skills, while multimedia inputs in the WebQuest improve listening comprehension.

It is my first time hearing and learning about WebQuest. At first it was frustrating but after some reading and had a group meeting, this task somehow remind me of the RPH (Rancangan Pembelajaran Harian) that secondary school teacher use to do before class. While working on this Webquest, me and my groups were trying to structure a task that focus not only one of the skills but all four of them; listening, reading, writing and speaking. We also had to use clear and precise language so learners should have no trouble completing the task. Creating the presentation slide for the video was the best part. Through this process, I also improved my own communication skill with my groupmates.

Overall, I do believe my group WebQuest can help learners improve their English skills. The task encourages communications and collaboration between learners by involving real-world topics.

In my humble opinion, designing the WebQuest and making the video was a meaningful and enjoyable experience. It took some planning, creativity, and understanding of how to teach and use digital tools. I found the process fun and useful because it helped me apply what I’ve learned in theory to a real task. I also improved my skills in using technology and designing lessons.

For example, the tasks in the WebQuest include reading online articles or watching videos, which help students improve their reading and listening. They also get to talk with their classmates, which builds speaking skills, and write reports or reflections, which improves their writing. This kind of activity helps students use English in real and useful ways. It also lets them practice all four skills reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

To sum up, creating the WebQuest and video was a good learning experience for me. At first, I felt a bit nervous because I wasn’t sure how to structure the content engagingly and educationally. However, as I worked on it, I enjoyed the process. It also promotes critical thinking and teamwork if done in groups. To improve it further, I could include more multimedia elements like audio or games, and provide clearer guidance or examples for each task to help weaker students stay on track. Overall, it was a fun and valuable learning experience.

It is my first time learning about WebQuests so at first I was a bit confused about what a WebQuest really is. Thanks to my group mates, I was finally able to understand what a WebQuest is. Essentially, it's instructions to guide students on what they have to do. It's sort of like a 'quest' that you receive from your teacher that contains tasks you have to complete. I think it's a great way to learn language as it trains students to properly understand instructions and encourage them to explore the materials given before completing a task that is related to the material. This promotes critical thinking which is a very important aspect that needs to be developed among students.

Designing the WebQuest and creating the video was a really rewarding experience for me. Working with my groupmates was a collaborative effort, and I was fortunate to have such a supportive team. We divided the tasks in a fair way, which is by voting in a polls in our Whatsapp group. This made it feel like everyone had an equal share in the creation process, and it helped prevent any confusion or conflict.

My WebQuest focused on "The Taste of the World: Exploring Traditional Foods from Different Cultures." We chose this topic because food has always fascinated me, especially how it reflects different cultures and histories. The project allowed me to dig deeper into various cultures and showcase how food is not just a matter of taste but also a way to understand and appreciate diversity. As I worked on this WebQuest, I felt a sense of fulfillment knowing that students would be able to explore different parts of the world through the lens of food.

Creating the video added another level of creativity to the project. It allowed me to visually bring the topic to life and engage the audience in a more dynamic way. I was able to include visuals, clips, and explanations to make the experience more interactive, which I hope will make the topic more memorable for the students.

As for improving students' English skills, I believe my WebQuest has a strong potential to help in several areas. First, by reading articles and watching videos, students are exposed to a variety of vocabulary and cultural contexts, which can significantly expand their language skills. Additionally, group work encourages collaboration and communication, providing students with opportunities to practice speaking and listening in English. Writing summaries and reflecting on what they've learned also helps reinforce spelling, grammar, and comprehension.

Overall, I feel that my WebQuest can help students develop both their language proficiency and their cultural awareness. It offers a chance to engage with English in a meaningful context, while also broadening their perspectives on the world. It's an educational experience that blends language learning with global exploration, which makes it all the more valuable.

Additionally, it was a bit difficult because we had to discuss and decide on the topic for the WebQuest. However, my group managed to overcome these challenges successfully.

We were able to prepare everything needed, such as an introduction to the topic, the tasks to be completed, as well as self-evaluation and teacher evaluation sections. I also believe that our WebQuest can help students improve their English skills and critical thinking abilities.

This is because students need to understand different cultures before completing the tasks provided. Searching for information on the internet will also help students with their English, for example, when they want to learn about the culture of other countries.

Therefore, I really enjoyed creating this WebQuest because I gained many new experiences that can be useful in the future, especially if I become a teacher.

Before this, I had never heard of webquest but after exploring it, I gained new insights into how it works and its purpose in an educational setting. I learned that a webquest is an inquiry-oriented activity designed to guide students through a structured process of research, investigation, and presentation using carefully selected online resources. It encourages students to think critically and creatively while learning about a specific topic. Our group’s webquest focused on the global food crisis, a highly relevant and serious issue affecting millions of people around the world. In today’s fast-changing, technology-driven world, it is important for students to stay informed about current global issues like this one. Designing and creating a video and slide presentation seemed like a very difficult task. I was unsure how to begin and felt overwhelmed by the technical challenges. However, as I started working on the project step by step, I realized that it was not only manageable, but also enjoyable. I also feel very grateful to have worked with a group of supportive and cooperative team members. We shared responsibilities, gave each other encouragement, and worked together to complete the webquest. The teamwork made the whole experience more enjoyable and effective. In conclusion, webquest is an excellent learning tool that can help students become more active and independent learners.

We also need to think the instruction and the procedure that they need to follow to complete all of the instruction.

The instruction that we need to make must be interesting as student can follow and enjoy the task. For example, out team make a student to be a reporter or journalist for them to explore the culture of the food in Malaysia.

Thus, it also can help student to enjoy the task because student will need to do it together as a team. It also helps our student to improve their reading skills, wrtting and speaking skills.

Thankfully, my teammates were very supportive beacuse they helps each other like sharing their ideas so we can make the best webquest.

In my opinion, designing the webquest and creating a video presentation about the webquest made me learn about what is a webquest and its important for the learners and the teachers. While preparing the webquest, i've got to imagine myself as a teacher giving homework to the students. It might be a bit challenging for me, but it is also fun and entertaining. Even though the webquest looks overwhelming for students to complete it, if we see it on the bright side, it provides a lot of benefits to the students such as it promote active learning, critical thinking, enhance student's motivation, improve research skills and fostering collaboration through working in a group. As for the webquest that we design, it encourages students to discover new dishes all around the world, at the same time they can overcome language barrier from different countries with various kind of language because through researching about cuisines from country apart from their birth country, they indirectly got to learn new words and culture from that country. This webquest also involves speaking, reading, writing and listening skills not to mention creativity skills through designing a guidebook about the foods they choose, creating 2 minutes video presents about their chosen dishes, and through watching vlogs or storytelling videos on Youtube. Lastly, thanks to my groupmate for contribute in giving ideas and for their hardwork in completing the task together.

It was enlightening and entertaining to design the WebQuest and make the movie. By using real resources like YouTube videos, blog entries, and social media content, I tried to make assignments that were understandable, interesting, and pertinent. Students were able to practice their English in a relevant setting while learning about school lunches from around the globe. My thoughts on how to successfully use digital technologies into language study were also aided by the process. Making the video component forced me to consider the learner's point of view and make sure the directions were clear and accompanied by visuals.

This WebQuest, in my opinion, can greatly improve pupils' English language skills. By means of reading articles and viewing videos, students enhance their vocabulary and comprehension. By promoting individual viewpoints and introspection, the review and comparison exercises aid in the development of their speaking and writing abilities. It also fosters critical thinking and cultural awareness, two qualities that are crucial for the twenty-first century.

Just to share, both WebQuest and Padlet were completely new to me. But I have actually used Padlet before in this course, during the early weeks. I only got to know about them through this subject.

From what I have learned and experienced, a WebQuest is a tool for us to plan our teaching materials for students. For example, my group worked on a topic called School Lunch Around the World. In our WebQuest, we included step-by-step instructions to help students carry out the project smoothly from A to Z. It is somewhat similar to a teacher’s lesson plan (RPH).

Yes, of course it’s very helpful in improving students’ English skills. When we create a WebQuest, without even realizing it, we’re actually training ourselves to write in English. Then, as we search and read data from Google for references, it helps with our reading skills. Recording a video also gives us the chance to practice and boost our speaking skills in English.

I find WebQuest to be a very suitable and interesting tool to learn. Although creating one can be quite challenging, with strong teamwork and cooperation from all group members, we managed to complete it successfully. Everyone contributed and worked together in an organized way. I’m truly thankful.

It was a good learning experience creating the webquest and making the video. I completed the task section and half of the process section, working on the topic of food, which I enjoyed and found culturally enriching. Our webquest, "How Traditional Dishes Bring People Together Across Cultures," guides students through websites and readings on traditional foods. Through it, they are able to discover and learn vocabulary for food ingredients and cooking.

The webquest also promotes communication skills, as the students create a guidebook page using Canva and present it. These tasks help them improve their reading, writing, and speaking abilities in English. I believe our webquest can effectively enhance students' knowledge and language abilities in a fun and meaningful way.

I like the idea of WebQuest because it gives students a chance to learn by doing. They’re not just memorizing facts but they’re working on tasks, discussing ideas, and making decisions. That makes learning more active and fun. For me, Webquest very suitable for modern tool in learning and it matches how student learn today. Student nowadays working on their tasks using technology, and also done their tasks in teamworks and real work thinking. It also make teacher more of guide, which can make the classroom more engaging.

Overall, WebQuest supports a more student centered learning experience that helps develop important life skills while keeping students motivated and involved.

Personally, I think creating a WebQuest and producing an accompanying video was both a challenging and rewarding experience for me. I felt uncertain in diving into an unfamiliar topic, but I had to also make it engaging and interesting for others. What I didn’t realize at first was how much it would challenge me to think not just like a teacher or content creator, but also like a student.

While working on this WebQuest, our group tried hard to structure a task that could target all four skills in a language: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. We also had to make sure that the tasks were easy to understand and achievable within the time frame, especially considering the varying levels of student proficiency. It took a lot of trial and error to balance the complexity of the tasks with accessibility, and we constantly revised our materials to make them clearer and more student-friendly.

Overall, this project really pushed me out of my comfort zone, but I learned a lot along the way. It made me think from a student’s perspective and taught me how to create tasks that are both engaging and easy to follow. Working with my group wasn’t always easy, but it showed me the importance of teamwork and clear communication. In the end, I’m proud of what we created and more confident in my ability to design meaningful learning experiences.

Personally, designing a WebQuest is something new for me because I have never known about it before. Based on what I have learned about technology in language learning, I have only been exposed to theories, language learning applications, application functions and so on. Therefore, I feel excited to learn new things in this field. In my opinion, I have tried to give my best in designing my group's WebQuest. I learned to design learning materials that interest students by focusing on all four language skills in one activity. I believe that the tasks provided can improve students' knowledge and mastery because it encourages students to think about producing a short play, exploring information, interacting with each other and so on.

I also loved the way my group members divided our tasks so that we would not have any misunderstandings on how big is our tasks. Also, they segregated the tasks together with the deadline so that we did not have any last minute pending tasks. So at this point, I'd like to thank my group members and also our lecturer, Dr Azlina for the wonderful opportunity!!

In my opinion, WebQuest is a very effective and engaging learning approach, especially in language education. It encourages students to think critically, work collaboratively, and apply their language skills in real-world contexts. Through tasks that involve information gathering and problem-solving, students not only learn the content but also develop communication skills and digital literacy.

While completing the assigned task, I personally experienced how the planning process required teamwork and a clear understanding of the learning objectives. In our task, we designed an activity that compared school lunchboxes between Malaysia and other countries. This activity involved students in reading texts, listening to video recordings, writing their opinions, and presenting their findings. I found this approach very suitable for integrating all four language skills in a balanced way.

Although it was quite challenging at first to plan clear instructions and select appropriate materials, the process helped me realize how important attention to detail is when designing effective learning experiences. Overall, I believe WebQuest is a highly beneficial method that should be applied in the classroom to make learning more meaningful and enjoyable.

Hi everyone! I think all the ideas are really good. I want to suggest we can also interview or ask a few people from each culture about their food. We can ask questions like what food they eat during festivals or what food reminds them of family. This will make our project more interesting and real.

Also, I will suggest to make a simple chart or infographic to compare the food from Malay, Chinese, and Indian culture - like their ingredients, how they cook, and what festival they are for. This can make our blog or brochure more fun to read.

In my point of view, WebQuest can help students improve their writing, speaking, and reading skills in English. When students do a WebQuest task, they read different texts from websites to understand about the topic that they are required to do better. This helps them practice understanding information, finding main ideas, and learning new words.

Students also need to write during a WebQuest. They might write cooking guide, a short essay, or a food review. Just like what my group does in the webquest. This gives them a chance to practice grammar, sentence structure, and organizing their ideas clearly.

Students also can work in groups or in pair and share their work by speaking to the class. This helps them speak more confidently and improve their pronunciation and communication skills. Personally I think that WebQuests are a fun way to practice English. They help students read better, write better, and speak with more confidence when doing the task in more fun and enjoyable manner.

Personally, I first thought WebQuest was a software tool. Then turns out it's actually a form of lesson plan that is more technology-based and task-based. Though it appears to be similar to lesson plan, it is slightly different. WebQuest focuses heavily on gathering information and executing the given tasks as the roles that are modelled upon using the suitable technology. It further strengthen my understanding of how it is one of the most suitable way to apply task-based teaching approach. In the video, we decided to include thorough processes with detailed instructions and organised steps to ensure students are fully guided throughout the WebQuest. Rationale section is also included to justify every step that we made is appropriate for students' development. Our WebQuest can definitely improve students' English skills as we focus on integrating all four language skills and indirectly helps with their HOTS development
