Since every individual perceives the world around them differently thus the results vary significantly.

Everyone has their own technique of collecting data and interpreting them visually. There is no one right way of doing sensory mapping.

Additionally, repetitiveness of the same exercise increases the accuracy as you become more aware of the relationship between the surrounding and your senses.
