In one to two years, I hope that my course design has made an impact in such a way that I gain supporters to my cause of raising awareness for reevaluating English educational program in Taiwan. This will allow English students to want to learn English for practical use rather than only academic test taking purpose. Educators can also design their courses to fit this need and help students re-spark an interest in learning English even after high school because this is a current issue right now. Lastly, this movement of supports will begin to let policymakers in the Department of Education in Taiwan to start making changes and putting a standard to English education while considering social justice issues with the current unfair system that is in place right now. The class design will follow the 5Cs and the 4 characteristics of significant learning

I wish that my class will have an impact on my students' academic life. I wish they will remember all the academic writing techniques they learned in my class that I taught by following the 5Cs and the 4 characteristics of significant learning . Starting from brainstorming strategies and ending with proofreading, I hope my students will state their ideas clearly in their academic essays with no grammar mistakes, and with correspondence between the tense of their sentences and the used verb forms. In one or two years of practicing writing in English, I aim to have my students write essays in English as good as if they were writing in their first language.

Students who complete the Leadership Journey should gain a clear understanding of their leadership strengths and build the confidence needed to apply those strengths in their context. I desire for each student to grow in their ability to create a professional growth plan that includes a strategy for applying for positions they are qualified for within ministry settings. I hope this experience will spark a desire for participants to become life long learners. After they complete the Leadership Journey, they should have the skills to continue to pursue leadership development opportunities that will open doors to serving in positions that are in alignment with their strengths. The goal is for every participant to thrive in pursuing her God-given dreams.

While this can be challenging, they can use their knowledge, skills, and overall confidence to try and have direct impact on others.
