I have used this feature a lot for essay drafting or to brainstorm ideas in a google doc. This feature however isnt always accurate. I also wish it was more present in the layout, not under a tab. You also cannot have any other video tabs playing while you are voice typing.

There is an immersive reader extension that can do the same thing as the Microsoft program. One change that Google can make is officalize some of these extensions and lose the middle step, having them pre-downloaded within Chrome itself. The only built in translate option is translating into english. I thought the accessibility of the highlight and maximizing text as the narrator read was very beneficial and helped me follow along reading. The narrator is very clear when she speaks. However the design lay out is ineffective because of the automatic fullscreen feature. Readers can only view books in one size, at least with PC settings. However in translating the document on dual language learners I noticed that a few words had rougher translations. But as far as communicating the larger ideas I think it does a very good job. I loved the small section I read/listened to on heath ad thought the lesson was meaningful. I loved that they provided a audio, text, and video all to watch that each gives different but consistent understandings. It also has a link to an article and citation that is easy to access due to its size. These features help students express theri thinking in creative ways and allows for students to approach problems with creative solutions that work for them. Immersive reader is also helpful however how the text size cannot be modified makes it difficult to fully see the text.
