She usually started her morning workout at 6 am. However, she had decided to start earlier so that she would have more free time to hang out with her friends. During her swim she sensed that something was wrong but couldn't figure out what it was . Without her realizing it she had a baby Grey Whale following her.

Steve one of Lynne's friends informed her that the baby whale was following her. Steve also told her that baby whales needed their mothers for there first months of there live. Lynne quickly became attached to the baby whale and wanted to do everything she could to help the whale reunite the baby whale with its mother. With the help of fisherman they were able to find out where a female whale was last seen however when they arrived they did not find her.
