You can use whole group tools to break up a longer lesson on a topic that your students would find less interesting. I would use them to help me teach about the American Revolution. I would use nearpod to have a detailed and guided lesson. This would help me gauge how they were taking it all in and also let them participate and play games while learning.

I think using video in the classroom is a great idea! Especially in this day and age when we have students that have had the constant presence of technology in their lives. The only technology we had in my schools were SMART boards and often times, we didn't even use them because the teachers didn't know how to use them or just did not want to. So it was fun to hear all the different ways that video can be utilized in the classroom!

I really think the idea of flipping the classroom is something I will use in my classroom. Since I want to teach history I think it would be a great study tool for my students to have access to my lectures at home. I could use class time to help them with concepts that are hard to remember or are easily confused with other things.

I would like to use ClassTree. Since I will be teaching older students I think this would work best. I think it's a great tool because it will reduce the amount of things that my students could lose and everything would be easier to access for the parents and myself.

The best assessment tools to me were Quizizz and the Pilckers. I really love Kahoot but what I like about Quizizz is that its easier for classroom management and the students still get to have just as much fun. I thought that Plickers was a very cool tool. I would use Plickers to give a quick in class quiz to end the day or to move on to something else. I think both are great for teachers today because it will give the students a break from the monotony of school.

I think Poll Everywhere was a great tech tool for the class! I really liked the different ways to utilize it in the classroom. It could be easily used for multiple assessments throughout the day like using the word cloud as a bell ringer, a quiz mid way through a lesson and a Q&A for homework. I think it would be easier on the teacher to have everything all in one place.

I have learned so much in this class! I have seen how much students light up when you tell them that its time for a kahoot or quizzizz. I had no idea that one note even existed and now it is my favorite way to take notes! I always thought that the use of technology in education was a very cool thing. I went to school in a poor district that had SmartBoards that were constantly broken so we used those old projectors with the clear pages on them. I hope I am fortunate enough to teach in a place that values technology in the classroom like Mobile County.
