         <description><![CDATA[<div>Healthcare is rapidly changing in today's society, for better or worse, technology is becoming a main resource to improve patient outcomes and enhance patient care. 3D printing is one of these new technologies that has emerged in healthcare designed to enhance the care already being provided to patients. According to Chadhuri et al. (2022), 3D printing is having a significant impact on the way surgical procedures are being performed. This new technology has only recently begun to make its way into health care, according to Dodzuik (2016), there are many different uses for 3D printing, including prosthetic use, medical models, medical devices, even implants (dental and medical), and even hearing aids. With all this new technology readily available to us, it is no surprise that medicine is now finding its way into a healthcare realm that will seem very futuristic to many.&nbsp;</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>3D printing has given much hope to the efficiency of healthcare. According to Javaid et al. (2022), surgeons are able to cut their time in the operating room with the use of 3D models because they can be better prepared for surgeries and this will provide a better outcome for the patient. Another pro to 3D printing is that it uses less material to attain better results. According to Javaid et al. (2022) 3D printing can make complex anatomically accurate models out of less materials such as plastics and metals. These models and prosthetics can also be more customized directly to the patient. According to Chadhuri et al. (2022) surgeons have more involvement within the 3D printing of models and prosthetics and they are able to customize these devices to their patient's.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The question of reimbursement is always a question in healthcare. When it comes to 3D printing there is still lots of research being conducted by the FDA to determine how widespread 3D printing can be (FDA 2016).<br><br>There is also the question of how much it will cost the healthcare facilities for start-up costs behind these 3D printing devices. According to the American Hospital Association (AHA) it is unclear exactly how much this will cost and since this innovation is so new, it is unclear how these healthcare facilities will benefit from a monetary standpoint.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In my opinion, 3D printing is an effective new way to provide exceptional care to patient's to improve their outcomes. Surgeons are now able to perform complex surgeries fast and with more accuracy due to having these accurate models to learn on and explore before treating their patients. I also believe this will help with the costs of healthcare in the long run because currently a model or implant has to be produced elsewhere then shipped to the hospital or research settings for use. If these devices can be made in house, I believe all the extra costs of shipping and materials can be cut out of the equation of costs to the hospital and to the patient. I hope that one day scientists can produce 3D implants of heart valves for valve replacement patient's and even 3D printed watchman devices to close off the left atrial appendage instead of having to use the more expensive devices we are using in healthcare now.</div>]]></description>

I enjoy developing these close relationships within a team and having people to rely on for a great outcome. I am good at taking responsibility for all projects I am a part of and I do not like to waste time or money on something I do not believe will work out. If there is anything that goes wrong in our plans I would be able to step in and try and resolve these problems before we proceed with our work.&nbsp;</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li>Faith- Futuristic<ol><li>Faith will be a great asset to our team because she is able to focus on how our choices and innovations today will have an impact on the future of healthcare. She is able to provide our team with the outlook of what kind of impact we will be expecting with our new implementation of 3D printing.&nbsp;</li></ol></li><li>Sheila- Strategic&nbsp;<ol><li>Sheils will be the one who is able to help us figure out the “how” of our new implementation. She will be able to help us formulate a very well thought out plan of exactly the steps we need to ensure our 3D printing devices will be top tier.</li></ol></li><li>Fernando- Focus<ol><li>Fernando will provide us with being able to stay on task. He will be the one to direct us in the right way when we begin to stray from our intended innovation.&nbsp;</li></ol></li><li>Carter- Communication<ol><li>Carter is the person who will keep our teams strong enough to talk through any problems we encounter and to encourage us to keep an open communication even through the struggles of working with our new innovation. If we, as a team, begin to struggle and shut each other out we will not be as effective. Carter will help ensure that does not happen.</li></ol></li><li>Emily- Empathy<ol><li>Emily will be able to keep the humane aspect in our team. I fear that with science like this 3D printing, we may lose sight of why we are doing what we are doing. Emily will be able to remind us that all of this hard work is for the benefits of our patient's and she will keep the emotion and humanity within the meaning of our project.</li></ol></li></ol><div><br></div>]]></description>
