Good work India! I like the idea of the clown and the mirrors - you only need a 1 minute trailer but think about how you will film the bit with the fortune teller - assuming you don't actually know one who works at a circus? But there will be ways to demonstrate this.

This is well thought through Fallon, you now need to plan what research you need to do, and then based on your research, plan your band - genre of music, members of the band, clothing, name, album name etc. Excellent start though!

I am not certain what the plot of our film trailer is, so please talk to matt and alex for that. However, it is inception based and we will attempt to use the music from the trailer. The track is called 'Mind Heist', by zack hemsey. I shall try to bring that in on a memory stick. The actual trailer will involve using the reverse playback feature effect on Imovie to create surreal effects. This would involve things like structures of chairs assembling themselves and other, hopefully convincing effects. How long would the trailer recommended to be?

Target Audience – teens

Storyline – male serial killer gravedigger, girls find dead body, gravedigger approaches girls with spade, kidnaps group of girls, girls wake up

This is a great storyline and will make a great trailer. Where/how will

you film the gravedigger scene? As there is 4 of you, be careful to make sure your research and pre-production is very clearly your own work.

This is a very strong idea boys, the trailer is supposed to be around 1 minute long. Make sure that it is clearly DIFFERENT to Inception - ie inspired by it and not just a copy.

Fantastic song choice Eve, you can make this really effective. I like the idea of B&W to symbolise the feelings of the character (yes, there is a filter, you can add it in later) - also experiment with editing to demonstrate different emotions - like in the Smiths "Panic" video where they go mad with editing effects to show panic/confusion. Research-wise - you need to analyse some narrative-based music videos

Me, Matt and James are going to work on Inception 2 for our film production, the genral idea is for me and Matt to do background research and work on the set while James will film and we will all colaborate on editing!

I am still unsure of what to do. I would like
to do a music video for Haunt by Bastille. (I’ve attached the lyrics with this)
The song could be incorporated as a story about a couple splitting up, going
their separate ways and trying to forget about the memories that haunt them. Or
it could be perceived literally as someone being haunted by their late partner.
It has an eerie, suicidal tone to it which
I would like to reflect in the video.

I have quite a few ideas for this video but
need to clarify my thoughts. I’m thinking about using flashbacks throughout and
using different filters to illustrate this. I would also like to try and layer
up two clips to make it seem like there is actually a ghost there but I’m not
sure if this is possible?

I missed last lesson where you were gathering ideas but I think that I want to do a poster advertising campaign for a film.

I'm not sure exactly what the plotline of the film will be but I'm going to start looking at conventions for the superhero/action genre and see where that takes me - these tend to be instantly recognisable so could work quite well? I've had a couple of plot ideas inspired by books that I've read - are these ok to use or not? I was also thinking about the possibility of encorparating some pop art ideas as teaser posters (an eye, hair, bold colour etc) again going with the superhero theme. What do you think?

We are going to do a music video to a song by mutemath we have quite a few ideas of what we are wanting to film

We are pretty sure on the idea of creating a music video. We think we have decided on a song by mutemath called Spotlight. We hyave various ideas for what we want to do in relation to filming etc. But we shall decide for definite very soon.

I think that James and Alex have covered a lot here,
