Each building admin team should provide a summary of what they learned from their grade levels / departments as it relates to vision, SAS learner profile, student focus groups, timeline of the work, etc……YOUR TITLE SHOULD BE THE NAME OF YOUR SCHOOL

Student focus groups: Need to ask recent graduates too. Don't forget cross representation of students.
Vision/Learner Profile: Clarify that the attributes are what we want our graduates to demonstrate. Some still believe that this is a checklist of more to do v. looking for where these attributes are already being integrated. They should not be separated from core content.
Timeline: Rather than saying create new lessons, what is already being done and share those lessons.

-Many of the attributes can be integrated within the classroom. -
- If the intention is a stand-alone lesson, then the rubric would be beneficial. If the intention is an integrated lesson, then the planning guide would benefit.
-The protocol was well-received by most; there was a bit of a disconnect between elementary teachers at Heritage and the fact that it was a secondary question.
-Teachers want to know from the perspective of the kids, what is the definition of "real-world". Most were unsure of the timeline.

Overall the teacher leader meetings went well. Teacher leaders feel the timeline is adequate, in one teacher's words "VERY generous". Teacher leaders liked the step-back protocol but were concerned that younger learners were not included in the survey. They felt, with the hard work on moving toward future focused classrooms, the elementary students would have answered very differently. Teacher leaders feel that it is overwhelming, but to quote another leader "in one day there may not be time for everything, but in the whole of the school-year there is enough time." Teachers feel like they are already embedding these attributes. The rubric could be a tool if rolled out with cross-district groups to review and understand it- and no mandates on using it.
