Gaby was the one who wanted to prove her siblings wrong and that she won't turn out like them, and to make her mother proud.
Plus many people around her who knew her family (or the history any way) and all try to tell her that no matter what Gaby would do, she would end up down the same road. But she was determined to show them all.
It was only her junior year but she was set and stone on her senior project; A way to prove them wrong.
Gaby faked her pregnancy.
