1895 - Committee of Fifteen examined the elementary curriculum. Introduced Latin, the modern languages, and algebra into the curriculum. Elementary curriculum was organized around 5 subject areas which include grammar, literature, arithmetic, geography, and history.

  • 1918 - Reorganization of Secondary Education - High school curriculum designed to accommodate individual differences and scholastic abilities. Seven goals provided to focus on education of all levels (health, command of fundamental processes, worthy home membership, vocation, citizenship, worthy time of leisure, ethical character)
