Exploring Digital Portfolios is a fantastic way to gauge you and the students you teaches progress. For the teacher its great cause you can save materials/notes/lessons from year to year and see where you have grown or declined. Having students do this, and starting them at an early age/early grade, they get to see how they've grown the older they get. And with technology being the future, the potential of doing this in a larger, grander format, the skies the limit. Possibly trying this when a student first enters grade school, even if the teacher has to do most of the input via the early, early years, it would be amazing to document a kids complete growth from K-12.
