         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><em>1)Hand compass-Because it’s easy to read and lets you know where you are when you don’t know.</em></strong></div><div><strong><em>2)193 pounds of “portable soup”-So that I can still eat and have something to keep me warm if it’s cold</em></strong></div><div><strong><em>3)10 pounds of sewing thread- I would take this in case I need to hang something up of I need it for something</em></strong></div><div><strong><em>4)Blankets- Cause I can use them for a lot of different things</em></strong></div><div><strong><em>5)1 long-barreled rifle that fired it’s bullet with compressed air, rather than by flint, spark and powder- This because you never know when you might need it</em></strong></div><div><strong><em>6)map of the Great Bend of the Missouri River- So you know how long and how far away you are to something or someone </em></strong></div><div><strong><em>7)45 flannel shirts- So that I might have a shirt to change into if something happens </em></strong></div><div><strong><em>8) Silk ribbons- so that if on the way I find a place that I love on the way I can tie it to something and if I come back I can see it’s still there </em></strong></div><div><strong><em>9)writing paper, ink and crayons- So that if I do find that peaceful place I can paint it the remember it</em></strong></div><div><strong><em>10)hatchets-so at night I have something to protect myself with if I need to</em></strong></div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><em>I would take Sacajawea with me because with her knowing how to translate it would be easier to understand someone that we run into that we don't understand. She also helps to show that we are peaceful and don’t mean any harm on our journey. She also knows plants really will and the right paths to take that nothing will happen. </em></strong></div><div><strong><em>    Sacagawea would be biggest advantage because of the things that she can do she can help you to get through a lot. Also she only 16 or 17 years old and is taking this long trip with a baby. The trip wouldn’t have been possible without her because she helped them a lot. </em></strong></div>]]></description>

The leaves are the largest of the Maple trees. The bark was used to make canoes and paddles. You can also get maple syrup from the sap. It’s a large tree. It would have been different for the explorers because of the size. It is found in stream banks and moist canyon soil.</strong></div>]]></description>
