They are more commonly known as Boy Bands/Girl Groups. Boy Bands/Girl Groups are typically better known for their stage prescence and the members' own personalities than the music itself. The groups are also known for their large and "insane" fanbase referred to as fangirls/fanboys. The music has no specific style, but is usually some form of pop or whatever is the most popular during that time period.


Example: One Direction is a very popular boy band that blew up after they were brought together on The X-Factor in 2010. They have an extremely loyal fan-base called the Directioners who are known due to the extreme extents in which they go to for the band. It consisted of 5 members and eventually broke up around 2015.
