This cartoon shows how Franklin D. Roosevelt mixing together different types of people and policies. This was very different from how other presidents handled being under lots of pressure. Franklin D. Roosevelt did not only have the pressure of being a good president, he also had to lead America out of the Great Depression. Although he had many critics, many people trusted and believed in him. Also, there were many people that questioned him, but they stayed in the background, like the many in the picture.

Excessive Ability to Buy on Margin. People spent so much while buying on margin that when the stock market crashed, they had no money left to pay for food and shelter

Unemployment. Sense we no longer needed war supplies, people lost a lot of jobs because, tons of people made the war supplies, the war supplies that we no longer needed. Sense lots of people lost their jobs, and couldn't afford anything, the suicide rate incresed by 30%. This was because people thought it was better to die, than to keep living like they were.
