The topic I got for one of my websites was "Buy an Ancestor Online". This website was no credible it was not well made, and had many adds. It gave no information about who wrote it. If you wanted to be George Washington's ancestor, it would only cost $1, so this is obviously fake. This website was made in 1999, and looks like it hasn't been updated at all. It was hard to navigate the site, and the pictures used on the site make no sense.

One website number I was received was 17. I read about "The Ova Prima Foundation." The chairman of the board was listed at the bottom of the page as Dr. Joel David Foresyte. However, there was no further information on the author. I researched about Dr. Foresyte and he is actually a librarian. The website's mission is to spread the importance of the egg in a nonviolent way and prove that the egg came first which is ridiculous. When going onto the "news" page, none of the news stories have dates to them nor do they show where they got their information from. The site uses the word "ovaprimatology" as the study which isn't even a word. When typing in "ovaprimatology," each site states, "A term used throughout the Ova Prima web hoax." This shows that the site is clearly fake. The website was created in 1998 and last updated in 2013.

This website is credible because in the URL it has .edu which means it's meant for educating people and not for commercial or entertainment. However, the website doesn't have any contact information about the author or writer, but it does state where they found the information from which was a Professor at a college. The website has no information about when it was published or when it was at updated, not place or established, so therefore the website is not credible enough to use for any research or to take any information from.

The Author, Google, gave no sort of information about itself. The page was posted on April First, 2002 and hasn't been updated since. The page includes information about how google is run by pigeons. Another reason is that there is no author listed, this means I don't know if they know what their talking about. The last time this site was even updated was 2002, this shows that the information is unreliable because it is old news. This proves that this information is not useful or credible.

So this is obviously a fake website. The authors purpose is to inform people of the fake Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus, but there is a link to the authors gift shop which is obviously a way for him to earn money. Not to mention that the gift shop is for the fake Tree Octopus. There also is not an area where it shows the date it was published. Furthermore, there are no links to other websites where the author got information. This website is most fake and no one should use this information in a project or presentation.

The website i received was number twelve. The websites title was "Case Analysis of a Killer Tornado event in Kansas on 10 June 1938". At first glance it looked not credible, after reading it thoroughly and realizing that this was a full analysis of the tornado in "The Wizard of Oz", but with the author being Charles A. Doswell III, a well known meteorologist and prolific severe convective storm researcher, i decided to dig deeper. This website is a sub-website of the Cooperative Institute for Mesoscale Meteorological Studies, the URL is cimms.ou.edu. This being an educational website and putting two and two together, this was obviously a link to a lesson from Doswell about a famous tornado to give students a better understanding on how to identify tornadoes by images and data. The website goes into detail about the distanced traveled, wind patterns, and the type of tornado that it was. Also, at the bottom of the page it has references to Grazulis, T.P. and Marshall, T.P. who were said in the article to "brought discrepancy top the death count to attention". So. this website is credible.

This website was not credible because the name of an author was not even mentioned- so there's is no way to tell if the person who wrote this is an expert . The fact that there is not an author mentioned is a major red flag since people who are normally experts in something like showing that they are knowledgeable and qualified. Also, on the website there is no date when the website was created or updated, meaning that there is a big chance that this information has not been updated in awhile. However, there is a .org in the URL, which is only given to certain organizations. But the fact that no author or date the website was created was included, makes me believe that this website is uncredible.

The website I evaluated was about the Velcro crop in California by Ken Umbach from umbachconsouting.com. There's was a link provided to view the biography of the author. While this would normally be a good thing, if you scroll to the bottom of the website, it tells you that it is a "totally bogus biography and completely fictional catolage of preposterous events." This is our first clue that this website is not credible. The website is just an article with a chart. While this makes it easy to read and there was no ads, there also was no list of sources or any sponsors, leading us even further to believe that this source is not credible. This article wa made in December or 1996 and has never been updated. While some of the things about the website leads you to believe that this source is credible, more evidence about it suggests that it is not credible. Therefore, this is website is not credible and you shouldn't use ot trust the information provided.
