         <description><![CDATA[<div>Since pregnancy and breastfeeding are one of the most nutritionally demanding times of a woman's life, it is crucial to make sure she gets those nutrients. Calcium is important as it helps build strong bones and teeth. During pregnancy one needs 1,000 milligrams a day. Iron is also an essential nutrient. Iron assists red blood cells that deliver oxygen to the baby. One needs 27 milligrams a day. A pregnant woman needs vitamin A, C, D, B6, and B12. She needs 770 micrograms, 85 mg, 600 international units, 1.9mg, and 2.6 micrograms a day, respectively. Folate (or folic acid) is a vitamin crucial in the production of blood and protein. It also protects the brain and spinal cord of the baby. One must get at least 400 micrograms of folic acid. </div>]]></description>
