Website: Who is the Most Famous Fortune Teller?

In the article "Who is the Most Famous Fortune Teller?" the writer discusses briefly what fortune telling is in a whole while introducing the very well known Prophet Mohammad, Ursula Soonthtel and Nostradamus. The article has very little supporting evidence that Mohammad or Ursula often had accurate predictions and only briefly talks about their individual predictions without elaborating or showing any scientific evidence. It states that Ursula lived in a cave and solely made a living off predicting people's futures which most likely would only be for her own commercial gains and not accurate at all, it was rare that she would predict anything accurately. Nostradamus, on the other hand, was a bit more accurate with his predictions seeing as he predicted multiple deaths and causes of death, for example, King Henry II of France in a jousting accident after ignoring Nostradamus' predictions, as well as Great Fire of London predicting this accurately down to the year.

www.astrology.com.au is an extremely broad website giving anyone full access to all things psychic for no price at all, this includes the act of Fortune Telling. The site gives individual readings such as, Tarot cards, Numerology and much more. I am EXTREMELY skeptical about this website because of the fact that every generated reading makes a general prediction that would be accurate for most people, making them believe that their reading is specific to them. I tested out some of their generators and most of the predictions were completely inaccurate to my current situation. There is absolutely no scientific evidence applied here at all and this website 100% only exists for commercial gains. Although it is a free website, the creator still gets profit depending on the number of users that click on the webpage.

Website: Serena's Guide to Divination

Serena's Guide to Divination is a free interactive website that gives you the ability to choose the type of reading you would like to receive with many different options to choose from such as biorhythms, dice, runes, coffee readings and much more. Her readings, like most, are pretty inaccurate and she makes sure to create statements that apply to the majority of people and their current situations. There is absolutely no evidence proving that any of these readings are true and again, although the website is free to access, the creator of the site still makes some sort of monetization. Serena uses a lot of "ancient wisdom," which is not ideal or accurate but makes people believe that the ancient had more knowledge than we do today.

Video: Fortune Telling Session

In this video, the fortune teller on screen does a candle wax reading in cold water as well as she uses a needle and thread to predict the sex of a subscribers baby. You can very clearly see that she is using a lot of hand gestures and movements to create the common illusion of a fortune teller and make herself look more like the "real deal" or more of a professional so that people return to her videos, which again, even though they are accessible through a free website (Youtube), the creator of the video still gets some amount of monetization for the number of viewers. She pulls out the wax and starts trying to decipher which shapes have been created but while doing so, she chooses extremely common things like a man's face, then continues to say you will have a man in your life who might change your life, she says might because she is unsure. She also says she see's an island, and flowers and a whole bunch of other random nonsense.

Video: Relationship Reading

The lady in this video does a variety of different types of readings all based on relationships. It is hard to believe that all 500,000 people who watched the video face the same hardships in each of their lives separately. She uses a lot of editing software to create illusions, distracting the audience from what is being said. Red flag number one is that she did not know exactly what the first card even meant, she had to look it up in her book. Afterward, I noticed she had been editing out after she flips the card and in between readings which allow her to read the book in between because of her uncertainty.

Video: Fortune Teller Prank

An actor sits in the street and pretends to be a psychic by pulling aside strangers and convincing them he is a legitimate fortune teller by telling them things about their lives individually only knowing these things because of the fact that he has a team of kids looking at their social media pages and reporting what they find into an ear piece the fake fortune teller is using. This video very clearly shows you how easy it is to be fooled by anyone pretending and claiming to be a professional. At the end of the video he makes a joke saying "that will be $150 now" then proceeds to tell her he is just kidding with her and it is a free reading. The woman very much believed him and could have very easily lost her money for no reason to a stick-up artist. This video is a wake up call to all believers and supporters of this act, to be cautious and be sure the fortune teller is not only out to steal your money when all they really did was look you up on the internet, giving them access to the information on most of your life.

This is a photo of a palmistry. The photo contains the labeling on how to read your"lifelines" and other lines on your palm. it shows you which line means what and what they mean for your future. Palmistry is strictly a prediction for your future, it has nothing to do with the past. Every photo of palmistry is slightly different causing me to be a skeptic about the act. There is no scientific way to ever know things about someone from their physical appearance or the lines on their hands.

This is a photo of Tarot Cards. Tarot cards are used to determine the present or near future. It is a demonstration where you choose 5 cards from a stack of cards and whichever cards you choose determine what is going on in your life and what you should expect in the near future. These cards are always different depending on the deck of cards the fortune teller is providing, which means that you will never ever receive the same fortune twice, your fortune completely depends on the chances you have of pulling out which cards and which cards are provided. Apart from that, the cards all mean something fairly broad and can relate to most people at any time in their lives.

Zoltar is a machine with many locations across the world which gives people the opportunity to put in money to receive a fortune. This is clearly extremely inaccurate and every reading is different for every person and the machine just generates random statements, kind of like a fortune cookie. Completely for entertainment purposes and absolutely only a way to gain a profit.
