The Balkan migration flows to Turkey have a special importance on the continuation of these ties.In the late Ottoman period, there were two significant waves of migration from the Balkans to Turkey: the migrations influenced by the Russian-Ottoman War of 1877-1878 and the migrations that were caused by the Balkan wars of 1912-1913.document signed between Turkey and Bulgaria, is the Treaty of Amity (1925).In 1950-1953 period, after the declaration of the communist state of Bulgaria and the collectivization of land, around 250 thousand of Bulgarian Turks also migrated to Turkey. After the 1968, there are signed agreements which aimed at uniting separated families and in this context around 50 thousand to 130 thousand people migrated from Bulgaria to Turkey. In 1985, Bulgarian authorities launched an assimilation campaign, called the Revival Process in Bulgaria, according to wearing traditional Turkish dress and speaking Turkish in public places banned.

Due to the civil war in Syria, many people had to migrate to Turkey. This is a very bad situation. Many Syrians live in tents in Turkey's borders. Recently, the number of Syrian immigrants in Turkey is increasing day by day.Turkey has decided not to open the border gate to the Syrian border, which has come under the new wave of migration, but to keep it in the region. In the direction of this decision, 59 thousand people who were based on Kilis Öncüpınar border gate were not taken to Turkey in the first stage. Eight camps were set up in the Syrian territory opposite to Öncüpinar, where Turkey provided humanitarian needs such as food, shelter and food. The population of 8 camps previously held by 15 thousand people was based on 70 people in 3 days. Instead of opening the border gate to the Syrians who flocked to the border in the first place, Turkey is helping these people on the Syrian border with the help of the Turkish Red Crescent and humanitarian aid associations.Nearly there are 3 million 500 thousand immigrants living in Turkey.

The Gulf Crisis actually began with Saddam Hussein's invasion of Kuwait on August 2, 1990 by introducing different reasons (Swearingen, 1981, pp. 315-330) and the fact that on August 28, 1990 Iraq was the 19th heritage. As a result of these events, there have been many uprisings in Iraq.Against these rebellions, the Iraqi Army Corps immediately suppressed the uprising of the Shiite people in the southern cities of Najaf and Karbala and launched an offensive against Kurdish rebels towards the end of March. Shortly after Iraqi troops seized the cities in northern Iraq, thousands of people started to flee to the border of Turkey and Iran. While the asylum seekers were being helped by the people of the region and the state together with the clash of the clans, the start of international aid on April 11, 1991 constitutes an important issue to be emphasized. In this process, Şırnak province with a population of approximately 260.000 is within the scope of a few days asylum seeking equal to the total population; The Hakkâri province, which has a population of 175,000 people, also hosted more than 200,000 asylum seekers. On April 3, 1991, the provincial governorships of Sirnak and Hakkâri met urgent needs such as blankets, bread, medical supplies and started to receive first aid.Now there are 13 million people living in the borders of Turkey.
