I didn't participate in this phase because I haven't joined the course yet. I was a little sad to miss the first meeting with them because I couldn't understand what they were doing.

Phase 2 : Define

This time I finally participated in the first meeting with them. Since I just joined on week 3, I didn’t know a lot about what to do and kept asking in the group, but they explained it to me very patiently, which made me feel relieved. We made a google from survey to collect data about our topic for our analysis and discussion.

Phase 3 : Ideate

In this session, we are looking for ways to solve the problem of food waste. After our search and inquiry, we got five methods, which are planing your meals , practicing portion control , proper storage food , understanding food expiry dates and use leftover creatively. Through these information, I also understand more about how to deal with food waste and remind me that I should not waste food. After the above discussion, we think that making our product, rainbow box, can solve the problem of food waste.

Phase 4 : Prototype

At first, we had no idea about our prototype. After many difficulties, one of my team members came up with his idea to use a cardboard box divided into four parts and classify the food waste into four categories. This can classify food waste for more processes. We use four colors to classify each type of food waste and mark it. This makes it easier for users to classify.

Phase 5 : Testing

After the production is completed, we will try it out. With the help of my teammate, he put our finished product in his friend's father's restaurant to try it out. With everyone's cooperation, our demonstration was also very successful, but cardboard is not a suitable material to make this prototype, because cardboard will become soft and not durable after contact with water. We also found that plastic bags of various colors are difficult to buy in the market, so we modified our design. Finally, we completed a better work.
