Athena helped him by gifting an olive tree for defeating Polyphemus.&nbsp;<br>Hermes gave him a herb to protect him from Circes witchery and get him out of Calypsos island.&nbsp;<br>Tiresias was a blind prophet that helped Odysseus go home from the land of the dead and told him about the cattle of the sun gods. </div>]]></description>

Before he goes Aeolus, god of winds gives him " a sack containing all the winds except the favorable west wind" ( Homer 527) When they were close to home, his men opened the sack and it blew them back to where they started. &nbsp;When Odysseus got to the land of the dead, he finds one of his dead men, Circe, and Tiresias, a blind prophet who helped him get home. </div>]]></description>
