         <description><![CDATA[<div>U-boat is an abbreviation for German under sea boats, or a German submarine. <br><br>These submarines were used as weapons against naval worships. <br><br>Germany was the first country to employ submarines in war.<br><br>German U-boats had success against British warships, but hesitated attacking merchant ships because of the reactions of neutral powers, especially with the United States. </div>]]></description>
