In the article I read, it talks about how gas prices are currently raising. Prices at the pump are expected to top $3 a gallon for unleaded gasoline in many parts of the country in coming weeks, as summer driving season approaches. The demand for gasoline hit a record of 9.68 million barrels a day. Personally, I am not a fan of this because I have to pay for my own gas.

In the SJR article I read, it was focused on the money Walmart is currently making from India's market. Flipkart is an online retailer in India known for the delivery drivers on motorcycles with packages. The $16 billion controlling stake is the largest acquisition yet by the world's largest retailer. Flipkart had net sales of $4.6 billion in it's last fiscal year. This is only a fraction of Walmart's latest annual revenue of $485.5 billion. Instead of competing with Flipkart, Walmart has essentially taken over the company. I think this is cool, Walmart is bring in loads of revenue.

In the SJR article I read, it was about the U.S. possibly losing China as an export for soy beans. With the threat of tariffs and counter-tariffs between Washington and Beijing looming, Chinese buyers are canceling orders for U.S. soybeans, a trend that could deal a blow to American farmers if it continues. "The Chinese aren't willing to buy US soybeans with a 25 percent tax hanging over their head." If this altercation persists, U.S. farmers may be hurt bad. 60 percent of U.S. soybeans are shipped to China.

In the SJR article I read, it was abut Nestle paying $7 billion for Starbucks rights. They are paying all this money to have to rights to sell Starbucks coffee and tea in supermarkets and other stores outside its coffee shops. The deal gives Nestle the rights to market, sell and distribute bags of Starbucks coffee beans, as well as its instant coffee.

In the article I read, it talks about Trump withdrawing from the Iran deal and the effects it'll bring. President Donald Trump announced Tuesday he will withdraw the U.S. from a nuclear pact with Iran, a move that threatens Boeing's multibillion dollar deals to help restock Iran's aging commercial air fleet. The world's largest aerospace company has agreements to sell planes worth roughly $20 billion to Iranian airlines, based on list prices.
