Strategy 1: Understanding the Needs of Families and the Communities We Serve It is important to understand cultural dynamics of the community and families as it can determine the most effective approach when reaching out in an effort to support students in their academic success. This also allows for the development of the whole child and helps them to become productive, kind, empathetic, human beings.

Strategy 2: Self-Assessment-Allows for educators to see themselves, evaluate themselves and check themselves for implicit biases as through this acknowledgement; positive change can occur to allow for openness and compassion when collaboration and support is needed from the community and families

Strategy 3: Be Present, Actively Listening and Showing Empathy- Educators who exhibit these characteristics allow for open conversations with families and community leaders to form systemic change for the betterment or benefit of all students. It is a foundation of trust and promotes understanding while creating and sustaining positive relationships and also showing mutual respect for the culture

Strategy 4: Build Trust-Building trust with families and community is a key component of effective communication and makes for the best possible outcomes. Doing so helps to understand and enhance the cultural connection between a student's life outside and inside the classroom as they need all aspects of their lives to come together for their ultimate success in life (Beachboard & Wright, 2023).
