Going into the field trip I was a bit apprehensive. Even though I was a bit in shock once I got into the lab, I was enthralled. Seeing organs, tissues, bones, etc right in front of me was amazing. Being able to actually recognize the body parts and organs was even more exciting. Words cannot describe what it is like to actually hold the organs and see them rather than just looking at a diagram. It definitely gave me a better understanding for the human body. The stimulation lab was just as fascinating. Although I was too late to watch the action, it was still so cool to see. I really can’t say a bad thing about the field trip. What a wonderful opportunity to expand what we have learned. This is something every student should have the chance to experience. Overall, this experience was enlightening and something I will never forget! Bella

Going into the Cadaver lab I though I was going to pass out or feel sick like in class but I didn’t . It was very fascinating to touch and look at the different organs in the body . However, the stimulation lab was my favorite . Being able to see how technology works was interesting . The cool part was when we got to use the paired stethoscope and listen to the heart beat and lungs in the patients . It was very fun

This field trip was something I was really looking forward to although I was a bit apprehensive about seeing real cadavers. However when we actually got there and I was in the room with them, it wasn't so scary. The cadavers were older and their faces were covered which I think helped. I had the opportunity to ask questions about the body and see the real organs and other body parts that we learned about in class. I think seeing the real thing is a lot more helpful than just writing down notes. The simulation lab was also very interesting, it showed me what to expect in nursing school and gave me an idea of the environment I'd be in. I would've loved to have more interactive experiences there such as administering injections/drawing blood in simulation form and maybe even attempting to choose what medications would work best for the fake patients.

Katie Garcia~ I really enjoyed the field trip!! The cadaver lab was fascinating and I actually liked being able to see what we learned about in class. Holding the heart and the brain was also fun and once again being able to see what we actually learned about in class really did help me to get a better understanding of the human body and its parts. I also enjoyed being able to view a simulation lab because it truly opened my eyes to how nurses are trained while in college. One thing that I wish we had the chance to do was have more time with the simulations, I would have liked to learn about how to give injections, draw blood, learn about medications for different situations, how to work machines, and even start an IV. In all it was a very good learning experience and I would defiantly go back again.

I thought the field trip was a very rewarding experience. The greatest thing about A & P is how applicable what we're learning is. With that being said, looking at diagrams and taking notes can still leave a student disconnected with the subject matter and unmotivated. That's why - to me - going to the cadaver lab proved to be such a valuable experience. It's one thing to talk about organs, tissues and bones; it's a whole other thing to experience them in person. To be able to look down and directly witness and handle everything that we've learned in class was captivating. Before this experience, Anatomy was just about memorizing and cramming for the next test. However, through this experience I can see how significant and relevant this class is, as well as the deeper meaning behind it.

I was not expecting the field trip to be that in depth but I am glad it was because I actually got to learn hands on. The simulations were cool, especially the one that gave birth. This field trip gave me some hands on insight on what actually goes on in the human body. I wish we were able to insert an IV in one of the manikins. It was a really awesome opportunity and a great learning experience, by far the best field trip I have ever been on!

I thought the field trip was an awesome educational experience. Being able to be hands on with the internal body parts was really interesting. I learn by being hands on so being able to see what everything looked like in life size form was great. The simulation lab was also a unique experience that demonstrated how we would have to deal with patients and life or death secenarios in a realistic environment. I’ve learned a lot from the trip.

Considering that pathology is my intended field of study after high school, the cadaver lab really helped prepare me mentally for what I am getting myself into. It's one thing to read and write about the human body and its internal features, but its another to actually be able to touch and just see them for yourself.
The stimulation labs were also an interesting thing to see. It was so life like.
In all, This field trip for me was a great learning experience and introduction to what i'll be seeing after high school. I'd definitely go back.
Thank You Mr. Hoeberling!!

I really enjoyed this field trip because all of the hand on experiences that we got to do. I liked looking at the bodies and seeing all of the things in real life that we learned about in class. I also enjoyed being able to look at the bodies different organs and seeing some damage that was done from the stuff they did. I also enjoyed the stimulating lab and being able to perform CPR on the dummies and actually bring one back to life. I would most definitely go back to do it all over again!

I thought the field trip was a great experience to help us understand the anatomy of the body and how it looks I’m real life. Being able to to work hands on and see the human gave a more clear insight of how the body works. The simulation lab was also a neat visit to see how medical students practice for real life situations. The robots had pre occurring conditions which students would have to react and treat the patient. Anderson is a beautiful college and I hope the field trip will continue for other students in the future.

The field trip was a great experience for both observing the human body using the simulation and cadaver lab while allowing us to walk around a friendly university- giving us a example of how it is going to be like. Overall, great field trip.

The birth simulation was very interesting and I was surprised to learn how far our technology has come in teaching medical students.

I really enjoyed this field trip. I was able to take away a better understanding of some things and even some new material! It was amazing to actually be able to put my hands inside of a real human body and even hold organs like the brain and the heart. The professor really helped me develop a deeper understanding of how some things work. I wish my group would've been able to see a stimulation. Thank you so much for the experience, I wish we could go do it all over again!!
