This padlet resource aims to help teachers in reception to teach a sequence of lesson around the story ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’. Through the range of different resources such as videos and practical activities, we can develop pupils' learning. Pupils within reception should begin to understand how to use their own voices and and body to mimic a character in drama. The range of lessons creates a stage where pupils become a part of the story. The first session is based on understanding the characters and imagining how they would be feeling in these situations. The second is based on the setting of the story and giving the children a feel of the different environments (e.g. mud and water). The aim of the final lesson is that the children put all their experiences together and act out their version of the story.
