I think that this will be a common thing that will affect the story later on and even now, there are moments where Christopher does not entirely understand what is going on and what they are saying for example the moment with the policeman. This is also a big reason why he likes animals too.

I think that this quote very accurately describes large parts of my life because often times in school, and elsewhere, I overcomplicate certain concepts when in naturality those concepts are really simple.
