It causes parents not to go to work because they already get the food stamps and they already have money from the government to get food. They get it every month. 

V.I Ex: A Pop Quiz
You don't know when the teacher is going to give it out. 

F.R Example: Daycares
If the kids at the daycare pick up a certain amount to fill a sticker chart then when the sticker chart is filled they get a reward. 

V.R Ex: Slot machine 
You never know when you are going to win. It could be 2 times or 50 times.

VI: When the parents of a student randomly check Lumen so the student does not know if the parents see when they got a bad grade, so they'd try to keep their grades up constantly.
FR: Following curfew for long enough so that the curfew becomes later.
VR: Studying every night for a pop quiz. No matter how often you study, you still get a good grade.

Behavior- They stop smoking. 

V.I.- The dog is told to sit sometimes  he is rewarded sometimes he is not so he will always want to sit so he is rewarded. 
Behavior- sitting every time. 

F.R.-If you clean your room every day at the end of the week you will get an allowance. 
Behavior- cleaning your room.

V.R.- The scratch off lottery tickets you do not know when you will win.

Variable Interval-When teachers walk around the parking lot at school to see if the people have a parking tag in their car, which means that the people who drive the cars are allowed to park in the school parking lot
Fixed Ratio-Restaurants that have like cards or coupons for things such as buy one get one free for things such as meals or drinks if you go to that restaurant for a certain number of times

Variable interval Ex- parents randomly checking your room and when its clean you are rewarded causing u to always keep your room clean

Fixed ratio Ex- Getting good grades at the end of the year and getting rewarded but getting punished for any bad grades

Variable ratio ex- Your boss continues to see you doing a good job and working hard so he gives u a raise after an extended amount of time
