Group 3 - Geometry concepts are sprinkled into every class; It must be continually visited and builded upon. Proof thinking is a different math skill - critical thinking in a math class. This is foundational for future studies. This can start in middle school to provide foundational concepts that are expanded upon in high school level

You start in Kinder with learning shapes and what they are and how many sides they have. We are building through shapes we learn at in Kinder through high school and building off of these concepts to have a deeper understanding.

There has to be something foundational to build on. Students should be encouraged to discover meaning and definitions in geometry rather than being spoon-fed it.

There should be MORE! Geometry should be in every grade (K-12) with connectivity from year to year. Vertical alignment is imperative! Where does proper notation and properties for logic/proofs land in NC? This seems to have been lost. (Group 2)
