<title>B : Well, to start with, they&#39;ll probably feel at bit homesick(9). You know, they &#39;re going to miss their families, friends, and the way of life they&#39;ve left behind. Mind you, this is probably the least of their worries, something they&#39;ll probably get over quite quickly once they find their feet(10) in their new home. No, they probably have much more pressing concerns. If you’ve just arrived, learning the language is obviously fundamental, you know, to make yourself employable(11) and to help you establish social relations within the local community. Then, of course, there&#39;s the difficult task of finding work in order to feed yourself and pay for accommodation. Most newly-arrived immigrants are willing to accept whatever work they can get their hands on. Language problems, as well as the difficulty of transferring(12) professional and academic certificates make it really tough to move up the employment ladder. That’s why you often find that the nice young man who serves you coffee in your local Starbuck&#39;s used to work as a teacher or engineer in his home country. What’s more, not knowing the ins and outs of the labour market often means that immigrants end up being exploited(13) by unscrupulous employers eager to take advantage of their vulnerable(14) situation. There are clearly many other hurdles(15) to overcome such as getting used to a new culture and dealing with discrimination, even racism(16), but that&#39;s probably enough to be going on with for the moment. </title>
