I've just created my first Padlet ever. I'd never heard about this platform before my professor at UFR mentioned it, but it looks a lot of fun. And that's because I enjoy writing.

For my professor who will be reading this, a disclamer: the description is a reminder for me, don't worry about that. Afterall, from what I understood about this activity you are going to judge the students' writing intentionally. To help us, of course.

By the way, what a great idea!

I intend to write more and more, for this is what I aspire to do in life. Write. Become a published author. And this activity is perfect for practice. So thank you!

I'm still getting the hang of "padletting", but it reminds me of Substack, another platform I use for writing.

Anyway, that's it for now.

See you in the next one!

;)

Mid-20s crisis?

If you google "Mid-20s crisis" you'll find, among thousands others, the following definition:

It's a period that typically occurs between a person's mid-20s and early 30s. During this type of life crisis, they question or doubt their goals, career paths, and significant relationships.

Isn't this crazy? How something that feels so personal actually happens with basically everybody?

It's like life has a textbook, and we ain't reading it.

Or are we just not reading between the lines?

Some people may not be reading it at all.

At least I like books.

You know what? Maybe I could write about this in (or on?) my newsletter.

I struggle being vunerable in my writing, even tho I know I would be more read and captivating if I were.

Sometimes - most of the times - I feel like my writing lacks personality. Like it's bland.

Because I'm afraid of being me...? Yes. I think so.

And if people don't like the text, then they don't like me? I'm writing my thinking out here, theorizing, analyzing. Don't take me too serious.

But this entry is an example, I know I've only shared my padlet with my professor. It's not out there in the world.

So I feel comfortble writing about whatever. Also, there's the rule in the description which forbids me of judging myself.

This is free writing.

This is free me.

And I can't help but think what a great post this would be on my newsletter.

Maybe I take it there. We'll see.

Final thoughts:

It's okay not being sure about everything, or about something especific. It's like master Gensho said once "A vida se mostra a cada passo."

So let's keep walking!

See you in the next one :)

Man, did I need that!

Yoga practice can make us feel more connected with our inner selves.

Today I took part in a yoga class for the first time ever. It was tranquilizing and comforting. The teacher's conduction was smooth and gentle.

The yoga postures helps with muscle stretching and relaxing, which can make stress levels go down.

As if that's not good enough, at the end of the class there's a posture called Shavasana, or corpse pose. It's the final resting pose. Shavasana calms the mind, reduces stress and anxiety and improves clarity and focus.

Only then, with our minds quiet and the worlds' noise shut down, we can hear ourselves, ourbody, our souls.

Being assigned last minute tasks at work when you're almost leaving for a break or calling it a day it's pretty annoying.

For people who appreciate routine and have a tendency to being controlling, having unexpected work coming up can be upsetting. That's because having it all planned in their minds makes them feel peaceful.

Though sometimes the problem is simply being already swamped and having to do more work. If their in one of those stressful days, it's even worse.

Some people were just under the impression they'd have some free time, after completing all the previsible tasks. But they weren't counting one that one cliente who always wants some "little" change in the project.

Anyway, the important thing is to understand unexpected things will always come up and not let that take your peace of mind.

There are 3 main reasons I don't know what to write here. First, my mind has been so full on the last few days with so many different things. For example, I've been worrying about my job as a marketing redator, my projects for more autonomous work, my assignments from college, my chores at home, my studies as a copywriter, my studies for a state contest and the list goes on. In addition, I haven't been exercising as much as I should or going to therapy. That is, I've been especially anxious lately. Last but - definitely - not least, I haven't been journaling, which helps me deal with anxiety and not pilling up all these preocupations in my mind. In other words, a vacation would be FANTASTIC!

A white horse toy brings back memories of childhood play, even though it is but a detail in the portrait that focus much more on green grass and blue dresses. A brunette woman sews peacefully while a little blonde girl pretends to read a book. It is as if nothing can trouble them, as long as they are together.

But I can't help remembering about big cities such as São Paulo, Brasília, etc in which the traffic is much more busy than here, mere Rondonópolis. I have a client in Brasília and I recall conducting a meeting in which my client was in her car, stuck in a traffic jam, during the entire meeting, that lasted about 40 minutes or so. Can you imagine? Gosh, I'd be so pissed.

I was so worried about college assignments and work projects but I forced myself to take care of me today. I did some housework and took a long shower, moisturized my hair and did my nails.

I still have a lot of things to do, only now I feel better about myself, relaxed even.

The truth is, sometimes, when you are swamped with work, the best thing to do is NOT work several hours stressed out, but relax before you start. Do something that really matters to you, big or small. Working is gonna feel much lighter later.

Ego, man's worst enemy

It's so irritating when you have to say every little thing somebody is supposed to do and still keep your eyes on them otherwise they just won't do it, or won't do it right.

I mean, I never thought training people at work would be so annoying and demand so much energy and patience. You explain something 3 times in 3 different ways and when they still don't get you wonder if they're paying attention at all.

I think the biggest problem here is when the person acts like somebody who actually knows how to do stuff when in reality they know shit. Like why did you say you'd be responsible for such task so confidently when you don't even know how to do it and are gonna keep asking me a bunch of questions and I'm gonna have to review and correct everything you do?

If they were honest and said "I wanna do this but I don't know how to, can you help me while I learn?" ok, great, no problem at all whatsoever. But ego is our worst enemy, isn't it? It just won't let some people admit they don't know everything.

[Kind of venting out here cause some things just came to my knowledge and I need to publish more of these. :)]
