Estimated to run out in 50 years.<br>2)It takes 34 power plants to make enough energy for America's phone usage<br>3) A kilogram of lithium batteries provides only 20% of the energy a kilogram of gasoline gives.<br>I found that 1) Regular wires aren't efficient because they lose 6-8% of energy but superconductors need to be cold to work, and that requires energy.<br>2) The sun, by itself, produces more than enough energy to power the world but we don't know how to absorb and transport that energy.<br>I'm still wondering how the we are trying to increase the efficiency of renewable resources</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>3 Facts I've Learned:<br>1. I learned that petroleum and natural gases are some of the most used resources for electricity.<br><br>2. I learned that the United States consumed about 27 trillion cubic feet of natural gas in 2017.<br><br>3. I learned that in 2017, the United States primarily used natural gas for electric power generation and industrial use. This compiled to nearly 67% of the natural gas share.<br><br>Two things I found interesting:<br>I found it interesting that natural gas was used very little as vehicle fuel.<br><br>I found it interesting that about 1,102 million metric tons of carbon dioxide and 437 million metric tons of CO2 were emitted as a result of fuel consumption of diesel and motor gasoline for transportation in the U.S. in 2016.<br><br>One thing I'm still wondering:<br>I'm still wondering if the efficiency of renewable energy will ever be just as efficient as fossil fuels and non-renewable resources.</div>]]></description>
