In my story you see this during the selection - the One. Going into the selection America was in love with someone else and didn't want to be there. Throughout the books America realizes she doesnt love Aspen like she used to and that shes in love with Maxon. During this book that had to overcome many things like what the public thinks, personal feelings, uncertainty, etc. America made a name for herself, expressed her feelings with Maxon, and in the end she got to marry her new found love. We can also relate this theme a lot to the bible. America thought that her life with Aspen was right and that the castle would never be right, but in the end she married him. This shows that God has a plan for us far bigger than we can imagine so we have to keep our minds open to that and realize his plan is better that ours.

I really liked the Selection book series, especially the one. I think you did a really good job creating lots of drama and surprises throughout the book while still ending the book in the best way. I know that Aspen was a huge part of having drama and even the climax in the book, but I hated him being at the palace, because that didn't let America get over him! Did anything specific happen or come to you to choose those names(America, Maxon, Aspen, etc.)? Are you going to make another book or more details about Americas dad and how he was a rebel(Since you didn't add anything in Happily ever after)?
