• Family engagement is key in your child's success. Working with them at home, "research shows that parent involvement with reading activities has a positive impact on reading achievement, language comprehension, and expressive language skills, as well as students’ interest in reading, attitudes toward reading, and level of attention in the classroom" (Stanford, 2023)

• Parent/teacher conferences 3 times a year.

  1. Beginning, 2. mid-year, 3. end of year

     to ensure student is prepared for 3rd grade!

• Newsletters will be a constant to keep parents/guardians updated

• Supporting your child with their math homework at home has also proven to show higher test scores as well as scoring at grade level.

^{I would like for you to know that your students success is my number one concern. I expect for each student to give me their best effort, and I would expect the best from parents/guardians. I understand we all work and have many other responsibilities, but just remember, if the child sees our dedication to their success, they are more likely to want to succeed themselves.}

Often times we see that students who have family support in school or in their interests such as sports, reading, etc. they are more likely to succeed. I am easy to get a hold of, again, if I don't answer a phone call, message or email just know I will get back to you within 24 hours.
