Tone: The tone of this clip is intense, as Murray is confronting him but the Joker does not want to accept what he's saying, and its potrayed through close up shots. A close up shot is a photograph or movie shot taken of a subject or object at close range which is intended to shown greater detail to the viewer. In this scene Murray is trying to tell joker that he seems to be making excuses for killing those boys, Then the camera pans to the joker. The main subject in the shot is his face. He didn't have to say anything, or deny what Murray was saying because it is shown in his face. This, a long with the key lighting focusing on him, the director makes sure that the audience is focused on his expression. 

How this effects the mood:
It effect the mood by making the scene more intimate. The blury view of the joker within the camera lens can be inferred as providing uncredibility and confusion to the joker's character. This is exemplified at (1:34), after the joker confesses his murder, and Murray abruptly begins interrogating him on live television. The director used an interesting direction of lighting with a single light source darkening the side profile of Murray and illuminating the side profile of the Joker. This lighting choice is coupled with juxtaposition as the depicted ‘bad guy’ has a bright lighting on his face and the stereotypical ‘good guy’ has a darkened tone. In this medium shot, it shows Murray as dead serious, and in the scene the audience knows that the Joker is serious as well, however his makeup, paired with a high blur displays a smile which gives an eerie vibe to suggest this viewpoint is rather malevolent. This displays how he fails to accept the consequences for his actions, as his viewable expressions are in sharp contrast to the severe situation at hand, in which he has murdered 3 young men. His cavalier attitude portrays his nonchalant views of his actions as justified, with his consequences to be considered satire.  Consequently, the viewers feel baffled, this is because the viewers see Murray as more aggressive and the joker as more abnormal. Tone, Mood: The tone used changes throughout the clip, it starts off calm, but as the clip progresses and he releases the stuff he did the tone and mood both get a little heavier in the sense that it gets intensified. Diction: The Joker starts by making an attempt at humor, trying to win the audience. However, when the audience doesn't find his humor funny, he starts a rant about how the actions of some individuals affected his life and the lives of others. His diction becomes more aggressive and vulgar

3. Cinematic techniques: The lighting in the scene plays a role in setting the mood and tone. Initially, it is well-lit as Arthur stands in the spotlight, trying to make the scene look more light-hearted. However, as the scene intensifies, the lighting becomes darker and more focused, creating tension and chaos. The camera angle used multiple times throughout the scene is a close-up angle as it captures The Joker's facial expression. The score and music during the scene gradually build up as The Joker becomes louder.
