On a larger scale, provide all course objectives and assignment descriptions, and have it generate an alignment chart, showing which assignments align to which objectives (use it to identify gaps)

This is an excellent opportunity to remove UNDERSTAND and LEARN from learning objectives. It validates the work professors have already done and shows them how to tweak it to add measurable action verbs. Plus it is quick and something they can easily learn to do on their own!

Put your own discussion prompts into chatgtp as if you were a student, asking for a response. See how good of an answer you get. The easier it is for chatgtp to give solid answer, the more you need to possible add more personal or course specific info into the question to make it harder to students to use chatgtp directly.

This is one thing that Damien Riehl spoke about during the Transforming Legal Education for the Future of Law event. Mind you, he was discussing his product he created, https://vlex.com/, but he said this is an area that most generative AI struggles with. It just doesn't have the access to the direct case law and is mining SO much broad information, that it hallucinates a lot. That is what his product was created specifically to do, because of that need. Its pretty rad actually.

And ideally in the future, as an institution, use all of that data to then align all the course objectives to the program objectives. Could then use ChatGTP to do an audit of which program objectives appear to be getting taught the least throughout a students time at MH.

Updating to Current Events

With courses that use reading resources that are not just texts, I think Chatgtp could be a good resource for checking how valid some of the resources are anymore. Not so much "does the link work" but "is this current for 2025." Have it see if the content of an article is outdated and if so, see if there are updated resources on the topic.

Enter in an exam to ChatGPT and ask it to create practice exams based on that exam. Or ask it to create alternates for each original question so that you can quickly and easily build out a bank of interchangeable questions.

Feed an assignment or discussion into ChatGPT and ask it for ways to make it more interactive. Or ask it to help ensure it aligns to course outcomes. Or ask it to help generate a rubric. Or ask if the instructions are clear and concise. Etc.
