• Congress could ask the states for money and soldiers. This was good because if the government was running low on money they could borrow money and if they were running low on soldiers they could get extra from the states.

This was a weaknesses because if congress asked for money or soldiers the states could give them a small amount or none.
• There was no president of the United States. This was a weakness because there was no leader or person in charge.
• The government had limited powers. This was a weakness because they weren't able to tax the people or make people join the army.
• States had their own forms of government. This was a weakness because the states could make their own laws and if someone did something illegal in one state and went to another state they would be fine.
• There was no national court system. Each state had their own court system and government.

One of its biggest weaknesses was that the government couldn't collect taxes. The government couldn't pay for things or pay the people working in the government. Their was also a very small army.
