When you are finished, make sure to share the document so that it can be viewed and upload the link to this <a href="https://padlet.com/sean_hackney83/48f9ie3jr50f">padlet</a>.</div><div><br></div><div>Working with a partner, you will be assigned one of the articles below and asked to complete a few other tasks.</div><div><br></div><ol><li>You will read, “Does unemployment take a mental health toll?”,</li><li>“Who gets the opportunities in America?”,</li><li>“What’s so great about working with your hands?”, or</li><li>“How does society make money off the poor?”</li></ol><div><br></div><ol><li>After you read your assigned article, work with your partner to answer 1 of the discussion questions at the end of the article.</li></ol><div><br>According to DePlama, the workplace portrait sketched here is a "template of the class divisions in America" How accurate does this claim seem to you?&nbsp; In what ways does the essay's depiction of work also function as a commentary on the ideals of class mobility?<br><br></div><div><br></div><div>Place your answer here:<br><br>The claim seems accurate, especially when discussing the difference between legal and illegal immigrants, and the opportunities they are given.  They must take jobs afforded to them because they have no actual way enlist proper help.<br>It shows that the "American Dream" isn't as easily obtained as it once was. &nbsp;</div><div><br><br><br><br><br></div><div>Bill Kennedy from the Toledo Museum of Art claims, “Nearly 30% of the brain’s cortex is devoted to visual processing. The optic nerve has over a million nerve fibers. Ninety percent of all the information we take in from the world we take in visually.”</div><div><br></div><div><strong>2.          <description><![CDATA[<div>We think Ehreneich’s solutions are smart but they are not well thought out. The solutions she suggest are inadequate responses for the problems she describes in the essay. She looks at the country as a whole and makes a generalization of how people would respond to her new policies instead of looking at the government's policies already in tact and the different wage classes.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>2.
