The Zimmerman Telegram was significant because it was one of the reasons that led to America joining the Allies in World War I. The Zimmerman Telegram was a way for Germany to make America get involved in WW1. It was a way of backstabbing America for taking over Mexican territory. This caused Americans across the nation to be outraged since this was a threat to their nation, convincing the congress to soon declare war on Germany.

President Wilson’s Speech was significant due to the fact that he was officially declaring war against Germany. This was the turning point of when America started going against Germany from being neutral. Germany's rules of search and seizure violated America’s rights, leading to America siding with the Allies during WWI. This letter also showed that democracy and peace was in danger causing America to join the war.

Liberty Bonds, April 1917-September 1918

The significance of Liberty Bonds was so America is able to pay off the war debt they were producing. The main impact of the U.S. being able to pay for the war was from people investing money into the war, making America be able to produce materials and weapons that would make the Allies and the America Army stronger. Without Liberty Bonds from the citizens, the U.S. would not have the money to produce supplies for the U.S. and the Allies. It would also be difficult helping the Allies since transportation to Europe will be costly. The Liberty Bonds overall made the U.S. and the allies prepared for the war which helped defeat the Central Powers.

The Selective Service Act of 1917 was significant because it was United States way of making the Allies stronger during WWI. Due to the Selective Service Act of 1917, the U.S. was able to get three million men on duty and fight with the Allied. Without the Selective Service Act, the U.S. would have a hard time drafting soldiers for war, thus, making it more difficult to fight against the Central Powers and not being able to support the Allied. This act was necessary in order to gain support within America and to have more power than the Central Powers.

The United States Food Administration was also significant during the war so that America and their allies have enough food. Without Americans conserving food, it will lead to starvation of soldiers who are fighting in Europe. This would cause the Allies die from hunger, making them the weaker team in the battle field. It is because of the United States Food Administration that soldiers have enough food to eat, preventing death or weakness from starvation. Overall, the administration was set up to make the allies more stronger in the battlefield.

The Second Battle of Marne was significant because due to U.S. help, it created a turning point towards the Allies winning against Germany. It was because of the U.S. army that Germany was not able to advance forward into the war. Without the power of America, Germany would have an easier time winning the war, helping Germany expand. This would make Germany stronger, making the Central Powers win the war.

The Meuse-Argonne Offensive was significant because it was the last war that the U.S. was involved in that secured victory for the Allies. The U.S. brought in troops and reinforcements helping the Allies advance through Argonne Forest and Meuse River. It was because of the U.S. help that the advancement that has occurred, has weakened the German army. This major weakening of the German army by America's help towards the Allies is what ultimately led to German army to ceasefire, making the Allies win the war.

The Paris Peace Conference is significant because it was where Wilson started the League of Nations. The League of Nations was important because it was a way of trying to resolve disputes between counties. In case a country had a big dispute, the countries would have to set a League of Nations meeting to settle the dispute. Without the Wilson advocating the Paris Peace Conference, countries would have many disputes leading to many wars happening.

U.S. Rejection to the Treaty of Versailles - November 19, 1919

The Senate rejecting the Treaty of Versailles was important because it was the U.S. trying to avoid the League of Nations. The League of Nations was set up to the point where it would restrict the U.S. freedom in dealing with international affairs. This would lead to the restriction of America's political power. If U.S. freedom in international affairs was restricted, America would have to be involved in other countries disputes and may have to join in war if that happens. By rejecting the treaty, the U.S. is able to get away from other countries disputes.

The U.S. German Peace Treaty was important because even though U.S. rejected the Treaty of Versailles, it was a way to be in peace with Germany. Because the idea of League of Nations was rejected within America, this treaty was the best way to keep piece between Germany and America without America having to deal with the League of Nations. This overall helped maintain America's freedom in dealing with international affairs. Overall, rejecting the Treaty of Versailles and creating a peace treaty with Germany made the U.S. have unrestricted political power. It also has helped prevent danger arising towards America.
