One moving door in the middle and two glass panels on each side is probably the most practical and cost efficient solution

Rugs

Rugs can be very expensive. I have seen a very high quality machine made rug from silk that looked and felt fantastic. We probably need more then one. Here is an example. I would love to order a small sample soon to see how it wears over time and if we like it before we buy a larger one. The small sample could go later in the playroom or stay in the new extension if we like it!

Flat Roof or Pitched Roof?

We need further advise here... Technology has changed and improved a lot. I see a lot of flat roofs in Galway. We need to ask a few people who know more and can give advise....

Underfloor Heating

I would love underfloor Heating for many reasons. It is much nicer particular when we go for tiles on the floor. It would increase the value of our home and not choosing it may proof to be an expensive mistake (selling a house without modern heating will become a major issue in the future for us or our girls....) It will cost more but I believe this is where I would spend money....

With our sunny back garden we have a wonderful asset. My intention would be to maximise the use of it. A nice patio for the sunny summer days. With garden furniture and a BBQ. A roofed sheltered part where the heat gets trapped in the evening and on colder days with small seating rattan sofa. A small insulated Shed 2m*3m! Not for storing rubbish but for a hobby... There will come a time you may want to do something with your hands, such as pottery or mosaic or some other craft work. With light, electricity, a little work bench, some tools and a small electric heater during the winter. We even could do small projects together there. Some raised vegetable beds for gardening, flowers and to watch the seasons going by.....The garden maybe small but I think it is big enough for us and offers us all we need to enjoy the next 25 years

The Oil Tank needs to be replaced and should be placed behind the shed. This version is particularly slim with only 66 cm widths

Patio Tiles

For outside the patio I actually like the wood effect tiles... It would require to lay them on a concrete slap. This adds some cost but it would be a clean living area without weeds coming through....

Without stuffing things into the Workshop/Studio space we need a small storage facility hidden behind the Workshop. The Balcony Shed would be ideal. Only 89 cm wide it would fit neatly.

This one is nice and wall mounted - once it gets a bit chilly in the evening and you want to sit a while longer outside, you switch these one on and it will get nice and toasty. The price is no more then an outside lamp...

Aquarium with Stand

Wayfair offers a tank with cabinet. This might be worthwhile to consider...The advantage is that with the stand no additional tailored and permanent kitchen island would be necessary. This would save costs, removal of this feature would be easy too and the stand is very close to a tailor-made solution anyway with the minor disadvantage that the heights would be different. Maybe we could even just add a tailored pedestal and place the tank and stand on top of it!
