Conceiving children and delivering is a dangerous process for us women. I thought of taking the role of a midwife but began to question myself. Due to the lack of interest of starting a family, I took the position of being a nun. I was a leader and I was pure. I never had to worry about childbirth or being bound to a man. This way I lived an independent life living carelessly.

Childbirth was extremely dangerous. Some woman worked mindwives. Some women opted into becoming an isolated nun intraday of having children in order to avoid dangerous childbirth. Having babies was dangerous for woman. Men also treated women in marriage how the bible instructed them. They were very brave by the way they handled everything.

Being so young and having a baby wasn’t something for me because you could die giving birth to a baby and I wouldn’t be able to do many things I do now. Becoming a nun was life changing for the good because I can be my own person and report to no one.
