  • Do you believe you have ever stereotyped someone (or treated them differently) by his or her accent or speech pattern? If so, how? I sometimes stereotype race with someone's speech pattern.
  • Is judging someone based on his or her accent or speech pattern different from judging that person based on his or her appearance? I think they are very similar. If you judge based off of an accent, often people picture the stereotype. People can also stereotype looks with voices. 
  • Can you think of examples of this that you have seen or experienced? My friends of color have shared with me that they often have a "phone voice" that they use to not be stereotyped.
