I feel agitated towards the speaker as he came off as extremely impolite and as a person who has no manners. This is evident from the line “so take me to your highest superior”. Despite the man still being unemployed, he demanded to meet with someone of higher authority and thus looking down in the person interviewing him and claiming that he is unqualified to interview him. The speaker uses imperatives in 'take me' to command his interviewer to recommend someone more qualified to speak to him. This is extremely rude as the speaker, being unemployed, is bossing his potential employer around. This makes me feel very agitated because the speaker is stepping out of line and going against the expected behaviour of an interviewee. Thus his rude mannerisms make me feel angry. 😡😤

You made a good and clever point about how the speaker has despised the interviewer by requesting to see the highest-ranking member of the company. You can afford to analyse the speaker's tone and word choice in the line you just quoted. What does his tone and diction reveal his rudeness? Why would that make you feel agitated?

I feel that the speaker is very arrogant and proud about himself. Although he is at a job interview, he has a very rude and arrogant tone to his job interviewer and he has many demands from the interviewer. Usually in an interview, you would respect what the interviewer says and follow it but the speaker instead demands for a high ranking personnel to cater to his needs and he demands for a less stressful and tiring job which is not what a normal job interviewee would do . This is why i feel that the speaker is very proud and arrogant.

Your response looks promising, though it is lacking in evidence!

Diction
The poem uses words such as "marry the typewriter", the word "marry" implies that the writer thinks that he should not work with the typewriter for a long time. The poem also used "prodigial intelligence", "prodigial" can also imply that the writer thinks he is very intelligent, maybe more so than others. Hence, the writer used Diction in the poem to emphasize that the poem is being written with a lot of apparent disrespect.

Good analysis of diction here, especially the part on prodigal intelligence, which in itself is a form of exaggeration / hyperbole. This shows that the speaker is not very humble and thinks too highly of himself. You need to rephrase your explanation for how the word "marry" implies that the writer thinks that he should not work with the typewriter for a long time. What's the point of telling us this? What are you trying to say?

In the poem, he says, “I am reasonably qualified: quite handsome: my lack of experience compensated by my prodigal intelligence:” These evidences show how he is very confident that he will get the job by playing by his strengths, and that he thinks that attitude does not matter when it comes to writing a job application.

We can conclude from the passage that the speaker is very arrogant and narcissistic due to the tone of the letter and the choice of words the speaker used. This is evident from the letter which states, "I am reasonably qualified: quite handsome: my lack of experience compensated by my prodigal intelligence: i shall not expect to marry the typewriter:" From these words, it shows that the speaker thinks too highly of his brilliance from the phrase, "my lack of experience compensated by my prodigal intelligence:" The speaker also does not believe in hard work and thinks that he is highly sought after from the phrase, " I shall not expect to marry the type writer: it's decision making i am after:" The tone is expected to be formal as the speaker is speaking to someone of a higher designation but the choice of words used by the speaker is very informal which can be shown from usage of many colons and no capitalisation of letters and bad grammar and sentence structure.

He describes his personal qualities with extreme pride. For instance, in lines 6 to 7, the speaker states, "my lack of experience compensated by my prodigal intelligence," This shows that the speaker thinks very highly of himself, calling himself smart even though he willingly admits he has zero experience whatsoever.
