We chose this subject to raise more awareness about lessening our footprint to save the environment, it's important because we are currently facing global warming and climate change due to massive energy consumption that have a negative toll on our environment and planet. 
We need to change in order to save our environment and planet from global warming and climate change that in most cases cause natural disasters in order to live a sustainable life.

The ecological footprint is a method to measure human demand on natural capital, i.e. the quantity of nature it takes to support people or an economy. 

We discussed the ecological footprint in both South-Africa and the Netherlands. In both countries we try to make conscious choices about our footprint.
