Once the men pass the Laestrygonians then they run into the goddess Circe. She "Transforms half of the men into swine" (Homer Page 576). Once Odysseus men are back into human form, Circe informs him that he had to consult with the blind prophet Tiresias. 

On his journey he encountered the sirens, just like he had been warned by Tiresias. The sirens sang "A haunting song over the sea" (Homer line 691). that would hypnotize anyone who could hear it. Odysseus plugged his mens ears with beeswax.  

On there way home they passed this island with Helios, God of the sun. Odysseus told his men many times not to eat the cattle. All of his men were starving and were desperate for any food. So later when Odysseus fell asleep, the men ate the cattle. When Odysseus wakes up he prays to "Zeus and gods in bliss forever, punish Odysseus men!" (Homer lines 907-908). Zeus listens to his prayer and strikes Odysseus mens boat in half and all of them die except Odysseus.

Odysseus revenge is when he arrives home to a house full of suitors and had to kill all of them. After Odysseus kills the main suitor Antinous, the rest beg for forgiveness. Odysseus did not listen and finish off each and everyone of them. Odysseus wanted to "Fight, I say, let's remember the joy of it. Swords out!" (Homer Lines 1478-1479). 

Odysseus journey home was not the easiest thing in the world. Odysseus took one of the Phaeacians ships for telling King Alcinous all about his journey. Odysseus talks to the Muses about the recap of his journey. Once he  makes it back to Ithaca, Athena transforms Odysseus from a human to look like a beggar so he can hide his identity to get into his own home. Once he is inside his house, he reveals himself to the suitors and kills every single suitor. "...If you think you can escape death. I doubt one man of you skins by." (Homer 1470-1471)
